Who is "we", again?

You might get more responses if you were a bit less opaque.

A group of people connected to aviation and interested in that issue. We name ourselves "DPE Rating & Searching Team" because of the project goals. Started to explore DPE searching problem in the November. Our main challenge is the lack of respondents who are ready to share experience

Are you starting a business, like an “Angie’s List” for DPEs?

There is an idea to develop a DPE Rating & Searching Platform and provide pilots with turnkey DPEs, aircraft, etc, so that they could save time and money. We`re just studying the issue and trying to understand if we could solve it.

wtf is the point of holding a designation and not using it? In the midst of a DPE shortage that's appalling.

We have one that is awesome in our area, but does a LOT of out of town training (was a check airman for a major airline) ... schools try to use him, but he runs a fairly tight schedule (i.e. those other training gigs come first).

Our fields are seeing a LOT of out-of-town people come in for check rides with the other DPEs. One is strictly by the book and one of my buddies that worked at the field and eventually became a CFI was failed on an instrument checkride by him - my buddy was one of the best pilots and most knowledgeable for ground school that I've ever seen. Note to those going to test in our area ... just be ready, completely by the book straight forward.

Yeah we're doing that here too. My favorite DPE for Multi rides converted to a "traveling Examiner" which is actually cool. A lot of the local schools are importing talent from all over the neverbeyond.

It's a cool hack, and I'm glad they loosened the reins to allow that.

I agree with the others. You're still being rather vague. Why not come on here and say "Hi, I'm John Smith, a former airline pilot now working at a local flight school. I'm joined by Jill Jones, a career CFI with over 6000 hours of dual given, and Bob Johnson, a local DPE. We've noticed the following problems with the DPE system and are trying to develop a tool that might help. We fly out of Peter O Knight airport in Tampa but have been talking with flight schools around the country who face similar problems. Here's what we see ...... Looking for your input... Etc."

Or whatever your qualifications are. Doesn't matter if you are all new CFIs trying to help your students, in fact that would be great because it would show you actually care, unlike so many young CFIs. Whatever the case, there's no need to hide and intentionally obfuscate your identities.

Thanks for feedback! We don`t try to hide and intentionally obfuscate our identities. Just the relevance of the topic is much more interesting and we`re here for that.
We`re not DPEs or CFIs, I`m a pilot who faced that issue with DPE availability: there is one aviator I usually discuss it with and several people from my team (web studio) who help me explore. We really want to find a solution so that pilots could save their time, money and nerves - that could be done only with your feedback and help. Not all schools provide us with DPEs - that`s really exhausting and for someone expensive to search for a DPE and wait for a free date.
