The Comanche has a light and crisp ailerons control, it is very well balanced and fun plane to fly.

I have a friend who has the Comanche 250. He flys at 160kts on about 14 gph.

There's a single door on the right hand side of the fuselage which curves some way into the roof area to make getting in and out fairly easy, but you still have to slide over to the left hand seat.

Not really. 800 lb of fuel is enough for more than 4 hours (4.5 hrs if you lean it out correctly at altitude) with an hour plus of reserve. Although my example can carry 1100 lbs of fuel, 800 lbs is about the limit of my endurance, even with no coffee :p
That leaves anywhere from 1000 lbs to 1200 lbs for passenger + baggage payload.

Company I used to work for had a IV with the Garretts. I got to sit in the RH seat a number of times on some long trips to the east coast and back. Amazing airplane. I wish I could afford one :cool:
