..... or does anyone else here see the potential for a screw up? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to have the VOR's up and running again... but!!!! Has anyone or anywhere seen two VORs' this close with similar frequencies?

The Will Rogers VOR (114.1) and the Kingfisher VOR (114.7) here in the OKC area were pretty close. Some VOR approaches used both, one as a crossing radial or a feeder route. You had to make sure you had the .1 or .7 in the correct radio.

The whole situation was eliminated when the Kingfisher VOR was decommissioned a few years ago.

But, really, any "VOR frequency confusion" is pretty much a non-issue anymore anyway, really for the past maybe 20 years.

While I guess it's nice that CMA has the VOR-DME working, unless GPS goes out, I very much doubt folks use that except for training.

If you accidentally land at Pt. Magu, well, that'll be an interesting news article.

No.
That's why you fail your checkride when you don't listen to and confirm the station identifier.

Caught more than one VOR that was broadcasting TEST even if the radial/deviation seemed correct.

When I look at the chart, it's pretty clear to me. You've zoomed way in which makes it look worse than it is. Ironically, the sectional chart eliminates all confusion:

What would be more entertaining is if, hypothetically speaking, the two were
113.90 AIM .-..-- vs 114.10 AEW .-..--
(1 dot/dash difference and 2 clicks part on the NAV radio)
