good lord. if you are into this kind of stuff, and you are young (which I'd imagine you were if you were into it).....you need to come to Charlotte and check this thing out. tons of incredibly ridiculously smokin hot girls dressed in, well, Ichibancon type stuff. I just happened to stumble into the Embassy suites (for dinner) connected to the convention center that's hosting this 4 day event.....it's insane.......if I was younger this would be the ultimate new years eve party. if you're scratching your head thinking "wtf is Ichibancon?", that's exactly what I was doing about an hour ago. think "hot anime porn with actual live people". if you know what it is, then get your ass down to charlotte for this event, it's freakin awesome.

this is a clip from last year, exact same location I was at tonite. the girls seemed quite a bit hotter tonite than in the video, but just to give u an idea...

I AM 29. but I've been 29 for a long time now, weird. however.....let's just say for arguments sake that I am 29.......for the majority of the anime-loving world, 29 is ancient. I'm willing to take my chances though. Sac would want it that way.
 
Comicons and the like are the modern version of attending the formal masquerade ball.

98% of the people in the video were not Asian. Were the percentages different at the actual event?

yeah, that video was from the prior year. the event has thousands of people each day, and the video had what, 10? anyways, there were enough asian chicks walking around to make my head spin. also plenty of non-asians too but you know, they're just "plan B" chicks....
 
I once chaired a panel on The Idolm@ster at LCAD and found nothing better than arrive there by a rental airplane under VFR (I'm not Instrument rated). Things could go wrong in so many ways, and the penalty for no-show for performers at LCAD is a lifetime ban. But it was my smoothest flght ever, the FBO didn't put Jet-A into tanks, and the rental car worked fine. I made 200 mph over the ground on the way back with a ferocious tailwind. Unfortunately, the restricted areas were hot and I didn't transition over the spaceport. Other than that, best con ever.

Put the word desu in every sentence(doesn't matter where), tell the girls they look very kawaii, and see if you can find a snack called pocky to offer all of them. Everyone will think you're really cool.

If you go to leer and drool you're probably going to get shut down but if you're respectful and keep an open mind you'll probably meet some pretty cool people.
