Hut 1, Hut 2,...

Watching GA vs AL. Tight game. Typical SEC game, defense stronger than offense both ways.

I sort of agree. But this week, 'Bama is my second favorite team.

I understand, but I’m married to an Auburn grad, and to preserve peace we have a pact to detest the dogs and the tide equally.

We're watching Penn State and Southern Cal. Daughter #1 is here with us, She's a PSU alumna who lives in Niceville, and is here avoiding the storm.

I started my football day watching my Alma Mater (Vanderbilt) absolutely stink up the field, couldn't stand to watch it, and turned it off. Last year was the best season in Vanderbilt football history, and this year appears to be regressing to the mean.

Saw my old school U of I battle Michigan State. Strangest officiating I’ve seen in a while.

The Mean Green covered their 27.5 points and blew out Charlotte by 40.

The Professional Mean Green (aka Oklahoma State) won as well.

At one point they said 90.
Thanks. I watched our Buckeyes melt in the Texas heat a few weeks ago. It was 100°F at game time. All the smoke from the pre-game fireworks against that horrid orange backdrop made it look on TV like they went to hell itself to play a game. Arch Manning is Satan.

Nice to see Texas step on their tie.

Just needed a little Sooner Magic! OUs offense is still garbage but they did just enough to win at the end. Defense is elite and special teams came in clutch a few times.

Well, two of my three favorite teams won.

#1. Ga Tech lost to Va. Tech . They could have won if they didn't do stupid stuff like dropping the ball prior to running into the end zone.
#2. Whoever played UGA! Auburn beat the dogs.
#3 Florida Gators beat Texas Longhorns. Whoda thunk? They came alive after that traitor Philo (who defected from Tech via the portal) went down and a rookie came in and did great.

GT once again lost due to stupid mistakes and penalties. They’re sloppy, and IMHO that points to coaching.

Still, it’s been a happy day overall at Half Fast Manor. U (sic) GA lost, and furthermore they lost to Auburn which is SWMBO’s alma mater. Double hooray!

Watching now to see what Miami might do to FSU.

It's great being football agnostic. I can watch just about any game and be entertained without the heartburn of "my team" loosing.

Then what's the point of watching? "lOOsing??

OK - I see that the word "football agnostic" is being switched to "unwashed unclean heathen". Yeah, I enjoy following teams, especially Georgia teams now, I'll make a point to watch Illini, etc. So I do "follow" teams. But I don't feel miserable if team looses.

Around here in the south to be a "fan" is quasi religious. People fervently cheer for professional 26 year old "graduate students" playing for the team paying the most. Which isn't a bad thing - college sports is a successful sports entertainment business worth billions. It is entertaining, and good for the athletes for getting paid as much as they can get.

Can you tell I grew up in mid west, not the south? College football was the Illini, who never won much. So you followed the Cardinal baseball. Here in the south people follow college sports for colleges they never went to or have any connection with. It's just different than what I grew up with.

It's just different than what I grew up with.

I grew up in Stone Mountain during the Herschel Walker era. Still got my commemorative bottle of Coke from UGA winning the National Championship in 1980. Unopened. Doesn't get more Georgia than that.

But my attitude is close to yours. I enjoy watching and rooting for numerous teams, but my loyalties shift with which teams and people I find most interesting that season. When one of my half dozen teams for that year loses, it might irk me for 5 seconds and then I am on to the next team on my list.

Life has taught me there are worse things than your team losing.

I still have mine from1990 when GT won the championship.
I have mine too. Somewhere in the upstairs storeroom in a box they have been in for our last three moves.

What’s more interesting than finding a moving sticker on an item is trying to figure out which move it was for………

My Hoosiers lost. But it was a heck of an atmosphere! Had a blast!

Looked like college football at its best. Two well matched teams from neighboring states battling it out in a close game with consequences.

Somebody needs to come up with an arrangement so that everyone in the stands is not wearing red though.

It was a "red out" game. I'm sure IU did that intentionally, knowing many OSU fans would be in red too. I would guess they used the opportunity to get photos for future stadium shots on their various websites and social media channels. Wife and I did our part wearing red!! Also had a nice flight there and back in our Arrow!!
