I looked at my profile information a few minutes ago and see that the date that I joined POA is listed. December 2006.

So I am pushing 20 years as a member...seems like three or four weeks...

What about you?

11 years. Joined POA with only 7 hours in my log book; first flight was just a month earlier. Cool.

19 years in December or about 37% of my existence on earth, and 58% of my existence as a pilot (in America). My time was preceded by a few years on the AOPA red board before that, and the rec.aviation usenet groups before that. Geeze I'm old (and chronically aviationally online).

Also, my post rate is about 1 post a day, which seems about right.

Joined the first day PoA was open to the public - Feb. 23, 2005. AOPA Yellow Board refugee. I did have an account on the red board after they opened it, but all the people who really mattered on the yellow board were here anyway, so I never participated much over on the red board.

Me too. Member #69

I've been here since before I was a Student Pilot of America. I found it and started lurking when I was exploring the idea of learning to fly. I finally asked some questions during training and was given the standard mix of snark and good advice. Been a regular ever since. First visit was probably about eight years ago, before I actually registered.

just 18 years. refugee from usenet

Feb 2005, so... 21 years 7 months, time went fast! Met a lot of good people and learned a lot of new things.

I came here in 2008. Before that, I had been on rec.aviation since 1992 or thereabouts. At first, I didn’t think I would like a moderated forum - you know, free speech and all that. But Usenet had degraded so badly by then that I had to start looking for other options.

A few months over 20 years.
Looks like I joined at the end of May, 2006. My first post was on June 10. Since I had been on thew Red Board for several years (and Usenet and CompuServe before that), I got a welcome from several people I already knew.

I’m not good with arithmetic. My join date is over there. Someone do the math for me. In human and doggy years please

10 years and 4 months today of honoring POA with my presence. Seems longer.....

Ok let’s see… right click, nope a phone, double tap, back arrow find the thread, look, tap, scroll, analyze… ah…. look, parse, find it…

Doc is a country code, most here area codes, Ima VIN…

Sooooo…. How about dem Dodgers? Anyone see the game? Amazing!

May 11, 2010. There was actually a couple of us that migrated over from the old Piper Owner Society before it went south.

The longest I've been a member of any board is 21 years. I joined gsxr.com in 2005, and had been an admin level mod for about ten.

15 years. Fugitive from the Red Board.

13 years.
Came here trying to figure out how to get pattern direction from my AFD in flight if my DPE has me divert to another airport on my private check ride.
It went downhill after that.

Did you ever master the metal landing calculator? Or is that scheduled for your next sim session?
