How do I stop flying too fast?

Do you mean flying too fast ground speed or air speed? Are you afraid of getting to your destination too quickly, or afraid of approaching the sound barrier? Cuz the answer will make a difference in how we help ya, duh.

I was somewhat expecting this thread.

So will the suggestion in the taxi thread work here as well? :dunno: Ya know, the one about holding the stick all the way back.

 :happydance:

Imagine that your destination has - no burgers, no bacon, no beer, no boobs... basically, anything desirable that starts with a "b" does not exist where you are going.

Damn. Might as well push the plane back in the hangar and head to Twin Peaks. They have it all.

The FAA,, would tell you, that to slow down,,, Pull on the yoke,, IE,, raise the nose...
I would tell you, that to slow down,,, Pull the Power Knob,,, Yeah,, Thats the Ticket!!!

And as my dear friend Cajun_Flyer points out,,,
if their is no burger, no bacon, no beer and "say it aint so",,, No Boobs!!!!
you have No Reason to fly fast,,, in fact No Reason to arrive, No reason to go,, No reason to Fly..
Really,,, with out at least 1 of the 4 "B"s,,, you might as well just stay in bed,,, or ...

Lower the gear, preferably before landing although if you don't, it will help prevent taxiing too fast.

Cheers

I've been passed by a golf cart (really - and I wasn't trying to fly slow). Is that too fast?

I have never heard of an airplane under good canopy being accused of 'speeding'.
Just sayin' it's an option....

Are we talking about flying too fast in the air, or is this hypothetical plane on a treadmill?

Why live any longer!!!! Those are essentials!!!!

This aircraft is obviously unladen. If unable to become laden, move anything resembling laden-ness further foreward for slowest cruise speed.
