Here's an example why a criminal arrest matters to the FAA...

Just don't mess with folks, if you end up in someone's space, just leave, not complicated.

I agree completely. The guy in the Excursion ended up getting in the photographer's space (public road) and should have just left. It would have been a whole lot less complicated and he would have stayed out of jail.

And would have any of that happened if the kids would have just left when first asked? As in before he started to film and mess with the dude who was loosing it at that point? Doubt it

But hey, the kid was "right" and got his 15 minutes of fame, and the other guy likley will have a few misdemeanors after giving a chunk of change to a lawyer and will learn an expensive lesson. How stupid by all parties.

This wasn't filming a revolution, this wasn't stopping a home invader, this wasn't toppling a tyrant, this was a couple rich kids taking photos of a car, pi$$ing some local off, and escalating the situation to prove they were "right"

Boom. Here we go again.

They're rich outsider kids. Three strikes as far as James is concerned. They're kids. Strike one. Apparently rich, since they're taking photos of a high end car. Strike two. And they're ****ing off a 'local.' Strike three.

Who cares if they're doing nothing wrong? They should have left when being ordered to by someone who had no right to do so. And who cares if the guy made a big display of threatening to run them over with his vehicle, then exiting the vehicle to physically confront them? If they would have never EXISTED in the first place, this whole thing could have been avoided. Really, if you think about it, the poor irate psychopatch in the Excursion is the real victim here with these damn punk kids on a public road with their cameras.

Did we watch the same video? I saw no provoking. They are clearly packing up their crap and leaving and this bozo is doing donuts and trying to run over people, is all I saw. Because they are on the road he lives on?, what the...

Exactly. Not only are they YOUNG, but they're also OUTSIDERS. The audacity!

You people are missing something essential here. The 28th Amendment to the Constitution of the USA allows the personal confiscation of a section of any public right of way adjacent or semi local to one's place of residence as a duly constituted driveway. This Oaf was only exercising his Constitutional right and expelling trespassers from his effing driveway that he had appropriated earlier in the missing part of the video.

As soon as the ACLU learned of the travesty of this Bozo being charged with a crime, they rushed to file an injunction with the 9th Circuit for an expidited hearing. The ACLU expects the oppressed Dingbat to be released immediately so he can film his infomercial explaining his methods for legally obtaining effing driveways and get on with selling his effing DVD's and books at his effing Seminars soon coming to your local area.

Cheers

Or maybe he was playing Pokemon Go and those spoiled kids were impeding his capture of a creature ON HIS OWN EFFING DRIVEWAY.

Cheers

Not stupid at all. Big man getting what he deserves, hopefully. Anyone have updates?

Like many cellphone videos, we only see what transpired after the recording starts. What we don't know is what ticked the big man off to begin with. Maybe what he was screaming about was those kids blocking the entrance to his driveway, when asked to move, they smart assed answered him. Maybe the flipped him off. Maybe their car was blocking the road.
What the big guy did was wrong. What the kids should have done is pack it in and get out of there pdq. Kind of like that dive bombing cessna we had a few days ago. While there was a lot of hyperbole from the boaters, the right idea was to head in for the day.
Flight now, live to fight another day.

Problem with your logic is, I'm a actually rather young, I own a few fancy cars and make a couple bucks too, thing is I don't go ****ing folks in their own neghiborhoods off, and if I do I just get out, I don't spend 3 minute SAYING I'm leaving, I leave.

FYI, from what I've seen of how some folks shoot cars, and I'd love to see the pictures he ends up putting up, but I don't think they were shooting the car on the side of the road with a chain link fence, maybe it was more this type of shoot.

Where it would have blocked the road off to this guys place, kids mouth off to the guy, guy has a short fuse, back and forth "I'm right" "no I'm right", after a few minutes of idiot ping pong, kid busts out his camera and puts it in the guys face and bada bing.

He is a realtor... Check out his site and the comments. They make for some funny reading... LOL!

"Bad experience. Drive way was over-run with sober kids and creativity and non-'murican cars. I thought Mark could protect the driveway, I guess not."

LMAO. I don't even care what the law does to him, the trashing of his realty site is where the real fun is. Hahaha.

As far as the back and forth on CCW and firearms stuff goes, nobody has pointed out that douchebag there probably would have wet his pants and **** himself simultaneously and automatically if the kid had drawn a weapon on him.

Little likely need to pull the trigger, he's only a big tough guy when he thinks he can intimidate.

So angry. Haha. Funny stuff.

He probably got the realty license for some shady **** and figured the kids are there filming his property to show his "clientele" how well he lives on their stolen money or something like that, the way he flipped out. Probably sold some people some worthless land for one is his buddies or similar and the freak out is brought about by thinking the little "punk" kids are filming him and his little pea brain to document his crap.

Yeah the big guy was a bit of a jerk in the portion of the video we saw. What happened besides that is not certain. However, watching the video I did notice a few things.
  • The white Audi was parked on the road facing the wrong way and the driver was not in it. Why? Just to take some lame pictures? For what purpose?
  • One of the other cars was parked half on the road and half off of it. Why?
  • Why not pull all the way off the road? The shoulder looked more than wide enough.
  • There does appear to be a widening of the shoulder with a gate right where the confrontation occurred. Perhaps that was an entry to his property though maybe not a driveway in a conventional sense. Perhaps he was truly bothered by the kids hanging out and parked in the road near his gate?
  • Do we know what direction the big guy first came from? Perhaps he came down the road and had to maneuver around the cars, got mad and then did a u-turn to come back to confront the kids. Perhaps when he first confronted them, the kids mouthed off to him as many stupid kids are prone to do.
There seems to be just too many unknowns to pass a definitive judgment. At the very least the kids were most likely in violation of some traffic laws for parking like they did. They should be held accountable for that.

Only one arrest and that for felony assault among other charges. If more bad juju happened prior to the video, I suppose it will come out as part of the plea bargain or trial.

Cheers

I love the big fat guy putting his finger in the chest of the kid weighing 120 lbs and calling him a *****. You're really tough to confront him.

The first person with a CHL to shoot someone legally in Texas reminds me of this situation. A smaller guy cut off a big guy in traffic in Houston. The big guy was really mad and cut off the smaller guy, cornering him and getting out of his car to walk back and threaten the smaller guy. He was reaching in the car and hitting the guy when he was shot and killed. Dead because someone cut him off in traffic and he couldn't take it...

If the video above had been shot in Texas, they would have been in their rights to pull a gun for defense and potentially shoot the guy. A vehicle is considered a deadly weapon, and when he pulls around and gets out, he's looking for a physical altercation. Not a smart guy.

Stuff like that doesn't happen too much in Texas for that very reason. You never know who... but 1 in 25 are licensed to carry in that state.

His address was in the arrest record, and although his driveway is off this road, it is nowhere near where these kids were shooting. And yes, the car was partially on the road, but this road, according to what I saw on Gmaps/satellite, leads to a dead end. Not exactly a superhighway and not really slowing anyone down. Dude was already cocked/locked and looking for a fight when he happened upon the photo shoot.

Myself? I would have probably stopped and shot the **** with the guys, looked at their car, and maybe hung around a while.
