I am looking for a company, like SkyMarks, that sells the resin desktop model airplanes for the GA guys, i.e. one that sells Piper's and Cessna's. Can someone point me in the right direction where I might be able to find them?

If you want a plastic airplane you'll attract less criticism from the tough crowd around this joint if you just buy a Cirrus, and be done with it. :D

Been a long week at work. I needed the laugh going into my weekend ;-)

Is it possible to 3D print these things?

Yes, but to get a decent shape and finish worthy of a display model it's probably faster to carve one from chunks of mahogany and go from there.

Nauga,
who can whittle without a cad model

I saw an arrow model on thingverse. I'm tempted to try it out, looks like he made it work by breaking it up into sections and snapping/gluing/etc it together after the fact.

I tried to get my wife to lie across her desk for a photo, but she said no. Y'all better be thankful I don't have a tripod or you'd have a photo of me lying across a desk now. ;)

Another alternative is to go on Ebay, and you can find constructed plastic and RC models for sale, at not bad prices.
