What is the best and closest airport for the DoverAirForce Base museum. Thinking of stopping for an o night stop

I moved from Delaware years ago, but I would recommend flying into 33N, Delaware Airpark. It's the third closest airport (counting DAFB) to the museum though. I never flew in or of 0N4 while I was there, so I can't comment on it, but it is closer to the museum. No matter where you fly into around there you'll need to make arrangements for your ground transportation.

If you're willing to deal with getting the approval (takes a couple days) and paying for the ramp fee, you can land at DOV and park at their civilian terminal.

Dover AFB has a flying club. I would call them and ask for advice. Depending on security you may be granted permission to land there, but it isn't likely. The flying club should know the best option for you.

I'm interested in that. Is the approval good for one landing, or does it last for a period of time? What is the process?

I called Dover at some point. It seemed like more trouble than it was worth to land there. Even after permission is obtained, one does not simply land and walk to the museum; the museum is outside the fence.
