Fun flight with a buddy today, new vantage point with 2nd GoPro mounted on pitot tube.

Low transition after takeoff (new perspective, putting the 'low' in low transition)

Mild cross wind and I had to go around once but I nailed it on the second attempt

Hey. Look. A (relatively) haze-free day in Alabama. Take a picture. It won't last. :)

Some screen grabs from the acro flight yesterday, really liking the pitot tube vantage point as well as the shot from rear cockpit glareshield.

Just got home from a camping trip in Idaho. Headwinds were stronger up high, so I flew the entire trip at 1,000' AGL. Come along and enjoy the view.

Cliffs on the south side of the Columbia, above I-84 and the UP main line; John Day River in the distance. It's a hot day and bumpy over the dry land, but delightfully smooth over the cool river.

This is the first I've seen as well. It's a brand new 22. I fly another 2015 22 and it doesn't have static wicks.

Come to think of it, I also haven't see one w/ ground adjustable trim tabs.
Does this plane not have roll trim?

Visiting UND. Very impressive...

Wanted to get in the air for some practice today, my wife agreed to go with me even though she's terrified of flying. She said it wasn't too bad, not sure why. We stayed relatively low at about ~1500 to stay below KSTL Bravo, I made sure to tell her what I was doing when I was doing it, and she thinks the fact we were flying over familiar areas might have helped.

Anyway, it was pretty hazy so we didn't have the best views, but it was the first time I've flown down the St. Louis riverfront so that was cool. Made a couple calls to KCPS to let them know where I was and what I was doing as a courtesy since I was going to end up near their airspace.

Another great Young Eagles Day at EAA Chapter 14, Brown Field San Diego (KSDM). Yak ran great and I continue to get more comfortable with it.

The Yak parked at Brown and ready for some 'pay-it-forward'.

Look Ma, no hands!! Tristan has some flight time already and did really well (he flew with Sean D. Tucker last year so now he has flown with 2 great pilots....)

Really enjoy these Young Eagles days even though it is a real production in the Yak, getting all my exercise just pulling 12 blades through before each start and pushing it around the ground.

For Acro Gimp. I thought this was a fine example of a Yak-52 at the Halls Air Show today.

2nd pass was close trail, look carefully and you can see the Yak-50 in the upper part of the canopy

How on earth did I miss a b17 in my back yard

Yeah it was a good show for a fly in. Horrible ramp conditions though. It was worth it to watch multiple P-51 passes at the end.

I had my first taste of Basic Fighter Manuevers (BFM) or dogfighting yesterday with a former Navy Aggressor pilot in back seat, he was from the Squadron I pay tribute to with the markings I put on the Yak, VFC-13 'Saints'.

Love this thread!!! I can finally contribute. Here is the view from my Zenith CH750 STOL that I finally started flying this summer after 3.5 years of building! Don't think there is much out there that gives a view like this! :D Lovin' my STOL!!!!
