Some say the Tecnam P2010 looks similar to the Cessna Cardinal...

This is my P2010 overnight at E01 airport in Monahans, Texas, February 22, 2022.

March 1 is Saturday.
LOL, that's what happens when you are wrapping up a day of photo editing and the clock changes days when you are thinking about a post... and to tired to fact check yourself. Yawn. Good catch.

Maybe similar, but it has that evil strut in the way, otherwise I'd be trying to grab one for a newer photo platform!

Fisher Celebrity?
Yessir!

Took the Champ out for a ride yesterday. 'Iceport' fly-in on Mille Lacs lake, then several touch & goes on Green Lake (between KBDH and KPEX.) My hangar neighbor tagged along in his Ultravia Pelican, and he crossed the 40.0-hour mark in his Phase 1 testing when we were out there.

It had been 40°F+ for a few days, then two cold fronts kinda converged and passed through on Friday, bringing 40kt+ winds. After the frontal passage, the temp dropped and stayed ~10°F overnight and into Saturday, freezing all the slush on the lakes into a bumpy texture that was pretty ideal for an ice runway.

Fog rolling in from the North over Lake Erie in NE Ohio. We were at 2000', 3 miles north of KLNN heading back to KBKL when it just hit the shoreline. It came in fast while performing maneuvers with one of my students. We high tailed it back before we got stuck.IMG_9568.jpeg

I landed at E01 many times when I flew pipeline patrol. One of the nicer FBOs in the Permian Basin.

Isn't that the one that has a Ping-Pong table?

Several of the FBO's have really improved lately, especially Basin Aviation at MDD and the city FBO at Big Spring.

Flew in and out of Wilson at HOU Friday and Sunday with a buddy who dropped off and picked up his daughter who had an event in Houston. Very nice FBO/staff and relaxed controllers in the tower.

HOU ATC is very GA friendly. Ask for an intersection departure and they can get you out quickly.

I wish we would have thought of that Sunday. Probable wouldn't have helped though since we were held for stacked up SWA arrivals.

Looks a little chilly to be flying with the windows rolled down

It wasn't ideal! My lower limit is about 45°F, and we were a few degrees above that today.

Flew in to some middle of nowhere field in Arkansas. Had 4 hrs to kill. Met some random farmer and his wife who showed me the toys, drove me around town, and fed me lunch. I love the Southern hospitality. These folks never cease to amaze me.
