Visited Fogo De Chao(Brazilian restaurant) in Indianapolis last week for dinner.

It was fun getting into KIND. Approach asked me twice to confirm I was landing at kind. Yes, I know we're a c172 but we're as important as the big boys. ha

Your 172 is every bit a plane as the rest of them!
And landing at busy class charlie airports always makes me feel fancy .
Also, good restaurant choice!

They’re use to little airplanes. Lift Academy has about 50 diamonds aircraft based there for training. The only time I’ve had issues getting in to IND is during FedEx Happy Hours! LOL Hit me up next time you’re in Town! Rick’s Boat Yard Cafe is walking distance from Eagle Creek FBO

I thought they recently "banned" little planes to LAS because of construction of a runway. Maybe that was just a few weeks and is over now.

They had a notam like that a few months ago but then it disappeared. I haven't checked if it's back.

grrrrrrr.
I was planning to go on 4th of July.
This sucks but maybe I could get prior permission?

You can always ask. What's the worst they can do, say no.??

Well, I guess they could kill ya but they can't eat ya....that would be illegal...

2 lifeline flights in a week? well done!
What was the challenging aspect of today's adventure?
I'm attempting to do one per month, so I had to make up for planting season.

There were some storms north of Memphis that I had to pick around; nothing too serious, but it required some thought, which is my favorite kind of flying. Had some awesome views.

Pickup was at M01, which is 3800'. That doesn't sound short on paper, but it's in a bowl surrounded by terrain and levees, with trees and buildings on top of that. Add in full fuel tanks (my own fault, granted), two passengers, my fat butt, and 85 degree temps, and it's a 20 degrees flaps and Vx climbout kind of scenario.

20 NM flight for a doctor's appointment. Common people would drive but I'm not common people. I'm a pilot.

Middle of nowhere. No noise abatement procedures to worry about. 9 min flight, 3 mile walk around the cornfields, 30 min wait to see the doc, then a couple of practice approaches back home. Is this real life?

Haha, reminds of the time I made a 20 minute flight to an airport within walking distance to a Petsmart so I could buy cat litter and say, "I flew shopping" instead of just driving to the Petsmart that was like a 10 minute drive away from home lol.
