Had a lovely flight Saturday-I-10 corridor Houston and lunch at the Runway Cafe, TX Gulf Coast Regional Airport (LBX).
I was there having a late lunch on Friday. We drove in after a rifle match near Manvel. Great food and got to see a fine specimen of a twin Comanche. No other airplanes on the ramp out front at the time. Next time I'll fly in for sure.
Yea, tons of new neighborhoods popping up. Central TX is getting over populated. Time to strap on a sixgun and head to AK!
Saw on flight aware lightfoot 3 was landing at KMQJ. Grabbed a good friend with nice cameras and hopped over there from KEYE tonight Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Dinner trip to Kentucky Dam with the fam. Patti's near M34 has the best 2 inch thick porkchops and steak in the country. Worth try if you are ever nearby.
Not hard at all. They'll send a shuttle to pick you up. next family trip will be to ksik to dine at Lamberts. they are known to throwing bread across the room at you. and they send a limousine to pick you up.
Lol... it's a van, but it is very cool that they pick you up and take you in the exit to the front of the line. If you're waiting more than 15 minutes; call again, they forgot you...
I gained 5 pounds just looking at those pictures... and yet my teenager would rip through that like a pack of wolves and be hungry again in an hour - sigh!!!!
Thanks for the pictures, now I am hungry! I have heard of Patties before from other pilot's, now I gotta go!
Finally got some good flying weather yesterday and took a flight to Port Clinton Ohio and Put in Bay. Right on the Canadian border. Put in Bay and Bass islands in the rear view mirror. I did land at Put in Bay and Port Clinton to get fuel. Plan to take the wife back one of these days.
I very much hope that one or both of them end up being bitten by the flying bug! Would be great to see them learn to fly.
Right place/ right time this afternoon; got a Vision Jet ride. Hangar neighbor was going up to do vfr maneuvers (stalls, steep turns, practice engine out, etc) and I tagged along. Pretty fun.
Nice! I see him pop in over here every so often. He's been doing Young Eagle rides with our chapter too.
He does lifeline flights with it too. Guy just loves to fly. He's got 500 hours on it already. Half the fun was his enthusiasm.
With my 14 year old at the scott's airforce base airshow. Unfortunately, they had to cancel the blue angels flight due to the weather.
Quick hop KSTC>KSTP to get brunch with my girl at Holman's Table this morning. I just transitioned from a 172R to the 182RG. Starting to get a hang of this unit, definitely more difficult to grease landings. I flew the Skyhawk a few days ago for the first time after logging ~20 hours in the Skylane and it felt so low on power I nearly rejected the first takeoff.
Stewart International Airport, formerly Stewart Air Force Base. The C-17s are parked but all the C-130s are missing.
