I sent my DUI information packet in late August 2023, and my medical has been under review since then. It seems like it going to take an eternity until they finally come back with an answer. My medical is still currently valid from what I understand so I am wondering if I should start working on my commercial while they do their thing or not. Currently IR PPL.

Even without a medical at all, you can receive dual. The questions are really,
1. do you expect the medical issue to resolve in your favor?
2. Is it worth flying in the meantime even if it’s denied?
