I'm beginning the flight portion of my IFR training and it'd be helpful to have a safety pilot for a lot of the practice so I don't need to schedule all the training with my instructor.

Is there anyone in the Chicago area who would be interested? This would be in my well maintained Piper Arrow (and of course I would not be asking for any pro-rata splitting of costs or anything). It'd be a pretty easy way to get some hours in and some fun flying if you have the time :).

Some details on basic qualifications and ability to log time:

If you're really hard up, fly down to Peoria and I'll fly with ya.
