Is "Ejection Handle Pulled" permanent?
Kinda like an Cirrus pull.....it requires a repack.
I recently started noticing it, too... was wondering what it's all about.
A BRS pull on any aircraft so equipped will total the plane and become the property of the insurance company. Sweating a chute repack will be a non issue since you will be getting a new one.
There's no way for members to tell. The old software made a distinction between banned (permanently) and suspended (temporarily). The new software calls what was previously called a suspension a "temporary ban". If you are the one being banned, you see a message when you try to access the site, which gives you the date the ban will be lifted. In the interest of transparency, we'll tell you that we have found a flaw in our notification system. The system we use for warning people posts a private conversation to the person being warned, with a reason for the warning/ban. However, if the warning results in a ban, they can't read the private conversation until they are able to access the site again. We thought it went out as an email, but it doesn't. Going forward, we are going to be trying an alternate system.
...and a bunch of fibreglass work on the airframe where the shrouds ripped it to shreds.
Few Cirrus pulls ever fly again, but there are some exceptions including one (an SR22) owned by a PoAer as I recall.
My hockey league website has a "Suspensions" tab that lists name, penalty, and number of games to be served. That would be fun here!
A very touchy subject to be sure as we are not allowed to speak of those who have been banned.
I was a moderator on another aviation forum, and after banning one member for personal attacks I got severely criticized. I had to pull in my horns a bit after that.
One member here likes to push the limits of the envelope but his posts are entertaining and funny to most of us. Can't say that some of the mods have the same sense of humor. What is humorous to one may be offensive to the other. Snowflakes need to accept reality and learn to get along.
Suspension justified? That's in the opinion of the board members. Others may, with reasonable doubt, disagree with their decisions but have no recourse.
That said, if there is retaliation for my comment I will exit this forum posthaste.
My opinion for what it's worth.
BTW, not defending anyone in particular just making observations.
beer league? any good team names?
Heck, I could have told you about that glitch. I thought it was rather dumb to be sent a message that I couldn't read regarding why I couldn't read it.
You should have told us about it. We didn't realize it until yesterday.
Probably the thoughts of the majority.
To be honest I really didn't think you would want or appreciate my input. Plus I figured those who run the site know how it operates.
I'm trying NOT to get banned because I know that aggravates Te* more than actually being able to ban me.
(mod name filter kicked in there, didn't want to call anybody specifically out)
I don't care what you guys say.....I like Ted.
My team logo, speaks for itself
Don't take this personally, but . . .
That reminds me of when I owned a veterinary clinic. One time I was on the computer raising some prices. I was editing the computer generated price list, and made a typo. I was trying to change a nail trim from $12.13 to $12.00 but I fumble fingered it to $21. A few days later, I heard a ruckus in the lobby so I went to investigate and a client was raising holy heck because he had been paying $11.50 and now it went to $21. I told him that was a mistake and it was $12. He was still ****ed we raised the price, even after I waived the charge completely, but not as ****ed. Later I asked the receptionist if this hadn't come up before and she said "oh yeah, everyone is ****ed. Some people say they will never come back". I asked her why she hadn't told me and she said that since I was the owner she figured I knew what I was doing and I must have wanted to make it $21. I wanted to suspend her, but I realized it was my mistake. But I still hold it against her for not telling me. She knew that her job was customer service, and I always told her part of her job was to look out for the customer.
Of course, I realize the analogy doesn't apply here, but the hair on the back of my neck still stands up when I hear someone say "I figured you knew".
Having been given a "time out" myself, I can say it might be a good thing that the explanation is given on return instead of when the hammer drops.
Gave me time to accept it more cordially.
But that's just me.
Oh then you must not have read his theories on cremation accelerants. The guy is loony.
And what stops the banned person creating a diff userid and logging back in? I have no intentions of getting banned, but just keeping my options open

No need to create a different user ID to read this forum. You can do that without logging in. However, if you go back to your old habits posting under a new user ID and we catch you, both IDs will be permanently banned. There have been a few in the past. And we know that there are some who lurk under their new ID. But it seems that our "problem posters" enjoy their identity as bad boys (or girls), so it would be a pointless to create a persona that others don't recognize.
Trophy points. It's all about the Trophy points.
Been in that position before. My employer and I spent considerable hours talking before work. He wanted to take all of our employees to Chicago for some training. That was just before things started downhill. I analyzed the economics and told him it wasn't feasible to lose seven man days of work given the lost productivity and the expenses of going there. He knew that in the back of his mind but it took some conversation to bring him around to reality. After some discussion, the planned trip was cancelled. Nothing to do with customer service but it would have caused a delay for some of them getting their planes back in annual.
We tested a number of thing, including banning, in beta. But at that time, we didn't test if we could receive emails of private conversations while banned. Also, email notifications of private conversations are turned on by default, but they can be user selected off. This is what we originally thought was happening until we checked with a test account.
Why not change it so that banned users simply can't post/rate?
Thanks. So at least I know not to jump to conclusions when I see that notation.
ya but.....a little cray cray is good.
