Not sure I've ever actually seen anyone use a shirt pocket before. What do you normally put in there? Pens?
About the only time I require a pocket is when flying. There is no good place to set my glasses or pens down in the cockpit. Not sure I've ever actually seen anyone use a shirt pocket before. What do you normally put in there? Pens?
I suppose that is true if you wear t-shirts as a fashion statement. But I thought only women did that. I wear them for comfort and convenience.T-shirts with pockets are abomination.

They would mess up logos like Mermaids Seaplane Base or Seaplane Pirate, two of my favorites. If I need a shirt pocket, which is seldom if ever, I wear a button shirt.I suppose that is true if you wear t-shirts as a fashion statement. But I thought only women did that. 1 pen, 1 mechanical pencil in pocket tee's (right now this very instant). Regular shirts get the phone also. Not sure I've ever actually seen anyone use a shirt pocket before. What do you normally put in there? Pens?
Bifocals - keep them on my face.a pocket is kind of necessary for the old guys that need to wear cheaters.

Both are bound to spit out garbage, so verify for yourself.I caved. I value all of your guys wisdom over ChatGPT.
Double check again, it should be the second option. The last time I donated $50. There is no active $50 link. Is that an oversight?
Done! Thanks for your help.Double check again, it should be the second option.

A mini slip stick.A pocket protector, of course, which holds pens, pencils, a couple of Sharpies, a 6” ruler, reading glasses, etc. Standard equipment for nerdy engineers.
Yep. I have maybe three shirts with pockets. Those are the ones I wear to fly, just so I can keep a pen handy at all times. Sometimes a backup red-lens penlight for night flying. Not sure I've ever actually seen anyone use a shirt pocket before. What do you normally put in there? Pens?
I miss Henning too, he brought a lot of everyday laughs to this forumI don’t really fly anymore and log in infrequently, but I like to drive by occasionally and test drive a few threads. I still love it and miss it. This place was a huge resource for me both when I was training and as a wet behind the ears pilot. I’m glad I saw this so I can give back just a little. I miss Henning.
It's not what you can put in it. It's what you can use it for. When you're 4 miles from your utv out in the woods and realize you forget to repack tp. It either my 35 dollar merino wool beanie or the suddenly useful shirt pocketNot sure I've ever actually seen anyone use a shirt pocket before. What do you normally put in there? Pens?
Oh darn. I donated before I saw this. Oh well, you can keep the money for next year.YOU ALL ARE INCREDIBLE! We have reached our goal for this year’s fundraiser.
THANK YOU!

Thanks Judy!Oh darn. I donated before I saw this. Oh well, you can keep the money for next year.![]()
I’m trying to do it. It gives an option to pay by credit card. I do that, enter all the info and then tells me to sign into or create a PayPal account. I don’t want PayPal. I want to pay by credit card like it said I could.Believe it or not it has already been almost a year since our last fundraiser to help cover the cost associated with site upkeep and maintenance.
As some of you know, Pilots of America periodically runs a fundraiser to gather donations to support the upkeep of the site and the expenses that come along with it. We are now going to open up a fundraising period again, and we would like to kindly ask that you consider donating to help fund the operation of Pilots of America. The costs for our web-hosting services have continued to increase and thus, we are in need of replenishing the fund balance.
As a little background, Pilots of America is a nonprofit organization. We are not a 501(c)3, but rather a state registered nonprofit. As such, none of us (moderators and technical administrators) receive any money for the work done with the site. It costs us several hundred dollars per month for the AWS resources necessary to keep the site running and backed up. Plus, we have to pay for domain registration, software/plugin updates for necessary and requested features, etc. The fees add up, and the cost for such has continued to increase, along with everything else!
We would like to, once again, raise enough money to keep everything running for another year or so, but to do this, we need YOUR help!
As a token of appreciation for your generosity, you will receive a fancy ‘PoA Supporter’ badge next to your name like mine. If you already have one, than making a donation will extend the time effectiveness of it and further your commitment to keep PoA alive and well!
Our end goal, as always, is to make Pilots of America a great resource for pilots (and aviation enthusiasts in general) for generations to come, and by making a donation, you’re helping to ensure that becomes a reality!
If you'd like to donate an amount more (or less) than those listed, feel free to send me a PM and I’ll be happy to work with you. You can also purchase more than one of the levels, if you desire!
The donation options can be found here - https://www.pilotsofamerica.com/community/account/upgrades
Thank you!
