2025 PoA Fundraiser!

The only option I got was for the 20 upgrade,which I gladly paid.

Nope. Ain't there. Goes from 20 to 75, then beyond. There's a "thing" at the bottom of the page showing I was in for $50000 last year, but no clickworthy button to duplicate the donation.

I think my donation had more zeros in it last year. Ooooops.

The $50 option was there for me this morning.

I'm guessing it has to do with that's what I gave last year and my "year's" contribution doesn't time out until 7/20. But that's a guess. I'm sure the powers that be will figure out how to (once again) facilitate the removal of $50 from my meager bank account.

Yeah, it doesn’t show up because the contribution is still valid. I can reset it if you’d like. Thanks for the support!
 
So…. What does “Platinum” level get you? All access concierge service? The ability to ban a person of your choice? Change a person’s aviator to an RNC or DNC icon just to make them faint?

You can ban any user you want, as long as it's yourself.

It simply changes the banner that is displayed next to your profile.

As some of you know, Pilots of America periodically runs a fundraiser to gather donations to support the upkeep of the site and the expenses that come along with it. We are now going to open up a fundraising period again, and we would like to kindly ask that you consider donating to help fund the operation of Pilots of America. The costs for our web-hosting services have continued to increase and thus, we are in need of replenishing the fund balance.

As a little background, Pilots of America is a nonprofit organization. We are not a 501(c)3, but rather a state registered nonprofit. As such, none of us (moderators and technical administrators) receive any money for the work done with the site. It costs us several hundred dollars per month for the AWS resources necessary to keep the site running and backed up. Plus, we have to pay for domain registration, software/plugin updates for necessary and requested features, etc. The fee’s add up, and the cost for such has continued to increase, along with everything else!

We would like to, once again, raise enough money to keep everything running for another year or so, but to do this, we need YOUR help!

As a token of appreciation for your generosity, you will receive a fancy ‘PoA Supporter’ badge next to your name like mine. If you already have one, than making a donation will extend the time effectiveness of it and further your commitment to keep PoA alive and well!

Our end goal, as always, is to make Pilots of America a great resource for pilots (and aviation enthusiasts in general) for generations to come, and by making a donation, you’re helping to ensure that becomes a reality!

Why is a 6 month support $20, but a 12 month support $50? The math ain't mathing! Is this your outlook on the economy 6 months out? Things will be 150% as expensive come December? Oh yeah. Tarrifs!
