100LL price increases?

Yeah, I always assumed the prices were constantly dynamic and not tied to a specific unit of shipment. It's not like retail stores only change their prices for products after the existing stock is depleted.
When a business receives any new inventory, they also receive an invoice. When I owned my business, we always entered the new "cost" into the computer. The computer would then adjust our sales price based on a percentage of that cost. Occasionally, our cost would dramatically increase and the computer would mark up our sales price accordingly. This would invariably upset clients, so I would manually go in and adjust down our sales price so as to avoid shocking our clients. If on the next shipment the price came back down (which it did occasionaly) the price would adjust again. I often ate several price increases, at least for a while.

That's exactly what my company has done with the tariffs. We waited almost 6 months to raise prices. It helped us remain more competitive and gave us some customer loyalty.

Just be glad your stuff is made of steel. Aluminum is absolutely insane right now.

Stopped by my watering hole the other day. Price jumped $1. Guess they got a new tanker load.

My airport KCVC on east side of ATL just went from $4.98 where it had been for a long, long time to $5.75. Between my training 172 and my 414, I buy a bunch of it. It’s going to hurt a little.

We would often stop at CVC on our trips from Daytona Beach to the north for their fuel. They are still cheaper than our home base.

There's a reason I park at FIN when I go to the 500.

I filled up yesterday, BUU, only 22 gallons. It was lower a few weeks ago, $5.49 now.
Dang. Must've just missed the low prices. Was contemplating fueling up after going to JVL for breakfast on Sunday and thought it was still 4.59.

East Troy or Galt for me.

$6.94 at my last home airport, as of today. Almost 8 bucks full service. Central and Southwest TX areas. Mogas is at 4 bucks as of yesterday. The denizens are freaking out, they're probably blaming "californians" at the Buc-ee's as they wrap around the permanent parking lot known as I-35, as we speak lol.

All to do about nothing. I've never seen fuel prices be an inflection point in this hobby, given the low utilization. So this is all performative, at least for the well to do POA crowd. It's usually more of a behavior-inflecting "problem" for the driving public, given most normies are running their households at paycheck to paycheck spread or in the red with credit.

The fact that the best selling vehicle in the US for the past 40 years gets about 15-20MPG says otherwise. Gotta have the emotional support pickup, that’s non-negotiable apparently.

At this point, I would guess cost increases have propagated through the system, and optimism that there will be a quick end is fading.

I paid $5.59 self serve at KSEF yesterday, which is not terrible. Paid over 4 bucks a gallon for regular car gas, which is.

All these low price reports are breaking my heart. Even before the war in Iran, gas at my home 'drome was $7.00/gallon. Fortunately, they tore the single wall tank out of the ground and the new, above ground system is not in yet. I shudder to think what the price will be when the now system is operational. Other airports in the area are now selling 100 LL in the high $6/gallon range. The cheapest within 50 nm is $6.50/gallon. No bargains anywhere. High tax rate on petro-fuels in Washington State are also to blame for this gouge.

Fairly close to me is 100LL @ $5.21 or Mogas @ 4.95.

Auto fuel is pretty steady here at $3.69. A few are higher and some even lower ...

Avgas at our local, small but full service airport, is US$9.30/US Gal. Next week it is expected to go up. If you visit Canada, be sure to tanker!

* Orest

my local airport now well over $8/gal and increasing weekly. Locals are flying about 50 mi to get it for about 6.50/g self serve and most not even flying at all. If this doesn't change soon, history demonstrates more planes for sale and their cost will decrease for other than trainers and some experimentals.... non trainer twins will get the worst of it in resale values. If you can get the MOGAS STC, get it. A buddy is borrowing my C172 for his BFR because its way cheaper to fly than his C172 burning AVGAS. Likewise, many pilots fly less at times like these so proficiency becomes an issue.

All local wet rental rates are also up to reflect the fuel costs. A few C152s and 172 here have the non-ethanol MOGAS STC which is costing them about 4.40/g at local gas station. My experimental is flex fuel so I buy the cheapest car gas (ethanol 85 octane) which is hovering about $3.88/g... I may start mailing in for the highway tax rebate again!

Wondering what 100UL is going for. Just more pressure on piston GA, but see no difference in the FBO traffic of small jets.

5.09 at 57c or 5.14 at RPJ and get something to eat

The nearest airport to me - Okeechobee KOBE - is $5.38. I’m currently running 100 from my fuel trailer at home, which was $4.45 a month or so ago. I’m sure the next delivery will be a big price jump. The dealer gives us the best price that he can, which is usually about on par with KOBE or a few cents less.

KGDK 100LL $6.37 Self Serve or Full Service, KSGH $6.01. Worth the 10 minute hop. Costco $4.50 Premium, $3.50 Regular

I guess. As an on/off active/passive buyer for the last 3 years, I haven't seen the corresponding inventory increases to reflect downward pricing on account of fuel cost. But I concede it may be too soon to price that in yet. And my market is hyper-narrow (EAB acro trikes); perhaps downward shifts have started to occur in the regulatory-captured snooze cans I no longer pay attention to (couldn't give me a repetitive AD sword of damocles for free if you wanted to).

I still contend the elements that lead to cracking open the inventory flow will be more macro. Specifically monthly cashflow confidence for the laptop classers, as white collar payrolls contract. Planes have always been mothballed-parked in lieu of sale for years at the low end, so that doesn't move the inventory/pricing needle imo.

Well, just got the news that the price of fuel at HWY has jumped to $7.05. I'll be curious to see if the pattern is less of a hornet's nest than usual on the weekend.

Uggh, just in time for the acro contest next month.

Went from $4.75 to $6.50 at my spot in the span of about a month.. airport manager said it broke the price record when we went over $6/gal. Self Serve.

If the gooberment would allow the construction of refineries that could use light sweet crude (the stuff from shale) would could tell everyone outside of the America's to bugger off.

I mean if we are to believe the gooberment we'd all be dead from global warming (right?). Something something hockey stick??

$6.00 now Self service , about one more dollar for full service. In March last time I filled up, $3.32!
I am in SE Texas (50 nm SW from HOU) and only about 20 nm from the “Gulf of America” …..

Regular gas at Buc-ee’s $3.76

How are prices at your local watering hole? I heard some reports of signifincant price hikes, but the two places I get fuel from are still unchanged, in the low $5.
I do wonder if it's just a case of them not needing another truckload yet, though.
Enjoy it while it last, because I doubt that it will.

WTI and Brent crude prices have been trending down for last week, however AvGas and Regular keep going up ….

Depends where you live (regular gas). We have seen ours peak at $5.09 and now we're back down to $4.79.
Houston area, the energy capital of the world……tons of refineries everywhere….Bucees

Dang, our fuel prices continue to climb. The nearest gas station is selling regular unleaded car gas for $6.09/gallon. Costco has the cheapest gas around and I paid $5.59/gallon there today. 100LL runs $6.88/gallon up to $8.54/gallon at the airports around my home base. It isn't a great time for long cross-country flights!
