What is a good handgun for self/home defense?

Hey, Thanks for all the great input. Only reason for 9mm is that it seemed like a common size and seemed generally cheap ammo wise. Probably small enough my wife wouldn't have too much trouble with it too. As far as handguns, I've only shot my grandpa's .44 revolver as a kid. Helluva...

What is a good handgun for self/home defense?

I grew up hunting with my dad and grandpa, using rifles and shotguns, so I'm not totally new to guns but I know nothing about handguns. I would like to get a 9mm of some kind that I can conceal and carry somewhat easily (I plan on getting some training and getting a concealed handgun...

Make sure you register a passenger list with the airport, check for engine sagging, and take off from a treadmill.

Keeping in touch with your instructor?

I still keep in touch. Don't talk as often as we used to. Sadly he got into some drug/alcohol/depression issues and no longer flies.

How did you get interested in flying?

I had no interest until college. Was going to school for aerospace engineering and took a flight test class. We went flying, did some stalls, stability and performance related calculations and I wanted more.

    Getting my PPL

Are you fearful of the turbulence causing excessive loads on and damage on the airframe, or are you afraid of it putting you in an unusual attitude you can't recover from? Or just some other fear?
