So a buddy of mine is looking for a plane he thinks may have changed tail numbers. He has the transponder code, is there someway to find it that way? Thanks!

    Mags or No Mags?

Everyone made it out of this unscathed so that's a plus. However I started looking at the comments and there was this back and forth about the ignition being in the off position. I guess the thought is that the Plead was most likely ungrounded, therefore not grounding the mag, hence leaving a...

    Tucano

https://www.flyinglegendusa.com/ I was talking to a friend of mine who also built a 10. Just sort of talking about next projects, because I'm itching to build again. I'm familiar with a Super Tucano but looks like someone makes a mini-version as a kit. Similar to that mini-Mustang I suppose...

    Robinson R22 Rebuild

These guys have done some pretty cool rebuilds. If you're into MX and building activities they have a ton of videos. Looks like now they're going to spruce up an R22. Will be interesting to see how much they like messing with certified aircraft.

    Eyes Out - Flyin Fun

1st Saturday of every month KPNC (Ponca City, OK) puts on a fly in breakfast on field. It generally has a good turn out with around 40 planes and 250+ people from the surrounding area showing up if the weather cooperates. The general routine is most planes fly in at the very start so it can be...

    "Scrappy" Build - STOL Plane

I'm sure some other avid YouTube content absorbers have seen this. This is the guy who build Draco, and apparently quite a number of other vehicle projects. The idea is he's taking parts from previous builds and putting together another extreme STOL plane. Here's a playlist of all the videos...

[NA] Hiring King Air 300 (or similiar) Pilots!

Thought maybe some POA readers might be interested in this opportunity. Contact me if you are interested or have any questions. This is ISR work if you're familiar with that. Here's the short of it; CACI Federal, Inc. is seeking highly qualified King Air 300 Pilots to support our DoD customer...

“How much was the down payment.....”

“... when you bought this airspace.” Heard this today on CTAF and thought it wasn’t hilarious. From what I could gather was one pilot wasn’t flying as the other thought he should. The recipient of that comment made some remark about sick of wide patterns and having to break out or something like that.

    Ooops....

I fly to my buddies lake house and when I do I use F31. There's a bit of a grade on the runway, seems this guy maybe should have finished his license before trying to take off... with passengers. http://www.kten.com/story/40820771/small-plane-crashes-in-marshall-county

    Mike Busch Webinars

I recently came across a Webinar that Mike Busch did. I then learned that he has been doing a ton of Webinars for EAA over the years. They can all be found on http://www.eaavideo.org/ - just search 'Mike Busch'. Not selling the guy, but wish I would of came across this stuff when I first...

Master switch issue when engine running

Here's an odd issue I encountered yesterday. The 172 just finished with both the annual and the Altimeter and Static check, completed by different shops. I have a fairly extensive post MX flight process that I go through to check everything out. I typically do an alternator check on runup but...

    Crop Dusting Pic

It was such a ridiculously nice day out I decided to take a few hours away from my work and go on a local flight. While flying I noticed two bright yellow planes extremely low so decided to slow flight and circle around and watch them. I had never seen crop dusters in action but was impressed...

    Dynon STC

http://www.eaa.org/en/eaa/eaa-news-and-aviation-news/news/04-06-2016-stc I really dig technology and the variety of avionics available for the experimental market was one factor that I reasoned to start my RV build. If I'm reading this article correctly this leads the way for other vendors to...

    Falconry for Drones

I find this pretty interesting.... obviously though this solution wouldn't work around airports. I've almost flown up the ass of a red tailed hawk and would probably rather hit a drone. http://www.reuters.com/article/us-dutch-police-drones-idUSKCN0VB136
