    Go Blue!

Yep, it has been a good year for Michigan much to the dismay of many of the wanabees who never have anything good to say about the Wolverines. Hopefully their rough years are behind them and they continue to get better -- a good streak of dominance over Ohio State would be fantastic! Rich

    I have a 3G ipad2 (with gps)

My choice of rarely was based on my use of the iPad2 on an airliner at FL350 with the iPad next to the window. It occasionally would lose satellite reception but recover within 15 seconds on average. This is probably quite good considering the view of the sky it had. Like many of the others...

    Instrument Self-Study - Endorsement requirement

That's true, however that is what the Oral portion of the testing process evaluates. The examiner can easily tell if the applicant knows his/her stuff or simply memorized the material to pass the written. Rich

How to avoid trouble with the FAA?

Since nobody I know flies around with the aircraft logbooks I assumed we were talking about the pilot's logbook. What is so difficult about making sure you have the required number of landings and/or approaches, holds, etc. logged before you fly to be legal? What else would the inspector be...

How to avoid trouble with the FAA?

There is absolutely no reason you should be flying if something in your logbooks would be found to be incriminating. Rich
