Does anyone know why contact would be lost at 12,325 feet? Other than in-flight breakup or power loss? Not speculating, just want to understand the data.

After I got a 98 on my VFR written, my sister said she wouldn't fly with me because she would always be worried about those 2%. Sisters.

I have been flying my Cherokee 180 VFR for a year now, but am getting the itch to start IFR training. It has no panel-mounted GPS nor DME, and only the original 1-axis autopilot (Century IIB). I am thinking that the GPS should be the first priority so that I can then do RNAV, VOR/DME...

ATC has waited so long to call my base that I had to stop for fuel on the way back in.

On occasion when a plane is landing and still maybe 5 miles out they are instructed to enter on base, but I will then hear the controllers say "Fly direct to the numbers." I assume that is for spacing, fine. The question is if you do follow the instruction verbatim, then you are going to land...

I've actually got two Pipers, but only one dog. The other one I have called a b**** on occasion, just depending on my last landing.

Testament to the flight attendants probably; the pilots maybe not so much.
