    Citation lost contact falcon field

Does anyone know why contact would be lost at 12,325 feet? Other than in-flight breakup or power loss? Not speculating, just want to understand the data.

    Catalina, KAVX

Just gave Garrett a call, seems like a friendly guy. I am scheduled to go buzzing around with him; watch out SoCal. Thanks again.

    Catalina, KAVX

I will be going on a business trip to Laguna Beach, CA. I have one day free (and zero interest in Disney) so I thought it would be really cool to fly to Catalina Island. So I would like to find a CFI and plane to accomplish this. It looks like John Wayne (KSNA) would be the closest to me...

Any Recommendations for an IFR Communications Course?

OK, I give up, what does the V stand for? I already know CRAFT (Can't Remember A F***ing Thing).

    Alabama Crash claims 4

I'm glad you showed the FlightAware. I was having a "discussion" with my wife because she saw the crappy Daily Mail version first. No honey, my plane's wings are not going to fall off spontaneously...

    Blew my IR written

After I got a 98 on my VFR written, my sister said she wouldn't fly with me because she would always be worried about those 2%. Sisters.

Wow, I never thought about that!

    IR training and autopilot

I have been flying my Cherokee 180 VFR for a year now, but am getting the itch to start IFR training. It has no panel-mounted GPS nor DME, and only the original 1-axis autopilot (Century IIB). I am thinking that the GPS should be the first priority so that I can then do RNAV, VOR/DME...

    I'll call your base

ATC has waited so long to call my base that I had to stop for fuel on the way back in.

    Direct to the numbers

OK, yeah a nice "stabilized approach"...got ya'. o_O

    Direct to the numbers

On occasion when a plane is landing and still maybe 5 miles out they are instructed to enter on base, but I will then hear the controllers say "Fly direct to the numbers." I assume that is for spacing, fine. The question is if you do follow the instruction verbatim, then you are going to land...

    Are Pipers dogs?

I've actually got two Pipers, but only one dog. The other one I have called a b**** on occasion, just depending on my last landing.

    Emirates 777 Destroyed

Testament to the flight attendants probably; the pilots maybe not so much.
