The perfect plane ever came on the market and my heart is racing.

Nice plane...ugly paint and interior colors though!

this is hell lot of avionics and the plane is it awesome shape.... I do wonder how long it has sit though. not saying it means corrosion, but something to be looked into with a microscope

Are you already ready to trade up? ;)
That looks like a heck of a deal, but I don't know much about values.
It does say all landing gear was removed, rebuilt, and repainted.
Doesn't say 'how' it was removed though ha ha

dang in 1981 it had 1,169 hours and today it has 1500......

No Colorado is a colony of Texas. And also the front lines between us and California

We're just the canary in the coal mine for ya.

Just about overrun with Californians now, so either send up the front lines and start pushing them back to the land of fruits and nuts, or be ready, because New Mexico ain't gonna stop 'em. LOL.

Texas will just LOVE it. I'm sure.

Not jokeing one of my snowboard trips to Breckinridge almost ended up getting in a fist fight some some california mountain bum. We were fixing to eat and the jack weed taking our order smarted off to my brother and my dad called him out on and and the bum next to us said "Go back to f*cking Texas" I squared up to him so fast it would make your head spin. He gave my entire famil the finger including my grandma and walked out.

But you went back to texas so he won.... :dunno:

Rebel Lord,
Take a deep breath, and GROW UP. No one on here is impressed with your insults and bragging. Real men have to fight sometimes, but they don't brag about it. Your posts make you sound like you are still in high school. You are better than that. Owning and flying an airplane are ADULT activities. See if you can learn to be one. We were all young once too, and had our moments, so we will give you some room for mistakes due to youth and inexperience. Have a talk with that father of yours about responsibility. It comes with adulthood. Good luck with your search for an airplane, you are one lucky guy...

Haha thanks, glad you know all about me from some posts online. In my mind I get that I'm probably one of the youngest ones here, but it's hard when I'm behind my screen. I'm not trying to get defensive but I wouldn't talk Like this or be cavalier to other people irl ESPECIALLY older and and wiser men than me.

That's why there's the internet.

Edit: Also I do appreciate the advice.

Old enough for what?

To drive?
To vote?
To drink?
To run for Congress?
To be POTUS?
To join AARP?
To draw social security?

"Old enough" in and of itself means absolutely nothing.

That why i said it :)

Being able to say that shows some maturity. One more thing, and its because Ive seen it other youthful pilots. You will be tempted to misbehave with this airplane (if indeed you are lucky enough to obtain one). Things such as buzzing your friends outdoor BBQ at 10' above treetops etc. You know, showing off. You are going to have to be strong and not give in to temptation. We're all pullin' for you!

He's 20  There's no way in Hell I could buy my plane on my own and I'm around his age.

Ya technically not my money, it's the family businesses money since this will be our "corporate" plane :D

Don't think his age actually matters. His money, his family's money...how does that matter?

Regardless of who has the money now is irrelevant. Whatever money you think you have will be gone. Where? In the plane. Trust me, I know. Most of us here do. It's OK. It's a great addiction. Good luck.

That's how we're doing it. Maybe if I was born in the 60s, but it's near impossible now. Have you made any progress on it yet?

Really mature. The local cops would have pulled your lift tickets and escorted you to jail, which just happens to be on the airport road (airport closed years ago).

Maybe I exaggerated just a tiny bit. Who doesn't :D

So how does one find these gems? Just stumble onto them?

Inside transactions. Friend to friend. Hangarmates. See a plane and ask the owner if they wanna sell. Estate sale to close family friend. Aviation brokers with private listings.

Pretty much...maybe even join a specific forum for that model plane. Not that my plane is special but I was ranting on a piper forum and got a pm from a guy thinking of selling. I bought it.

I was on cheeokeechat asking and planes were flying at me left and right. However I'll be honest they were very nice planes above my price range there but very nice equipped planes. And those type of deals you don't usually have to act impulsive either because I don't move fast on big purchases.

But talk to people at the airport and let them know what you are looking for. Some body will know Some body. But citizen5000 nailed it.

I tried this, several times I saw a nice archer or Cherokee I asked if the owner if they wanted to sell, I also check the bulletin boards for my local airports. I agree there's actually some good deals to be found. There was a stratus 2s for only 699 and I almost bought it, I called and it had already sold.
