The Great Monkey Race: Progress Thread

Ok, the monkey is now sitting by the fire drinking a Jack and Coke at Gaston's. Oh wait, no that ME doing that. The monkey is here too tho! Hoping Brian can make it in to pick it up.

So, is it a legit soft field landing if you get the plane stuck taxi-ing off the runway and have to be towed by a tractor to park the plane. Just asking, no real reason...

Well, a friend just got a SeaBee.. Could be a backup plan.
 
Damn monkey ran out of cocaine and started on the prescription meds. This guy is outa control!

By the way, just so you know, the monkey has gotten a peek up a couple of skirts. And he liked it.
 
What is the monkey doing out of its envelope again? Shesh! It would not get into trouble if left in the envelope.
 
Well, the monkey has done a lot of grass over the past 24 hours. He seemed to get all excited and keeps asking if we are going to "burn some". Must be a city thing.

The handoff happened at Gastons today and now the monkey is in central Arkansas on a little grass strip called country air. Pic shows him checking out some really good Arkansas grass. Go figure.

Sure takes that little guy a long time to push an airplane into a hangar. Might be here all night and my wife is already not happy with me.

Did the weight and balance calculations: I should be able to duct tape the monkey to the spinner of the bonanza...

If anyone was not aware, Tulahoma TN is home to George Dickel and just a few miles from the Jack Daniels distilleries which both offer tours...
 
If it helps, next weekend (maybe starting Wednesday) I'm headed from little rock to liberal Kansas. Any point between would be a good diversion.

Isn't that sort of backtracking? Or are you thinking to set up better field position for the field goal?
 
Monkey is ready to get out of Arkansas. Too much blue grass music and the hardest thing we have is ice-cream on a cone...

Here he is pre-flighting the -35 - ready to go ... ok, minus the tornados due in tomorrow night. Later in the week things look good to go..
