Donald Trump Lost His Waypoints

Just more politics to silence the truth. Trump didn't say anything inaccurate, but the best way to offend a liberal is to tell them the truth.

How is what he said even controversial?

Do that many people (including the Feds) support people committing felonies?

Trump spoke out about people BREAKING THE LAW by sneaking across our national boarder and becoming ILLEGAL immigrants, how is that controversial?

Truth?

When has that ever had anything to do with progressives? Make it up to fit the march to utopia.

Just one more example how the government, which is supposed to serve the public without pregdidous, is used as a political tool against it.

Purely coincidence I am sure. On a related note, I have a great deal on a bridge I'd like to sell you, it's a sure thing.

Is there any level to which the petty wonks and apparatchiks in goobermint, and their handlers will not stoop?

'Gimp

I heard an anecdote which there's no way to confirm, when Bill left office, and Bush was coming in, they found all the "w" keys on all keyboards missing. "W" being one of his signature themes of the election. So - no, there is nothing to which they won't stoop if that's correct.

Cool. With enough wingnut support like this, Trump will get the nomination and bring the Republicans down in flames.

I'm not sure though why an off-topic thread like this is tolerated on this forum. (The initial post was marginally on-topic, but most of the follow-ups aren't even close.)

In any case, the next time we wonder why aviation is declining in the US, the association of aviation culture with a small, declining reactionary political movement is certainly one factor to consider.

There are other boards you can read and post on.

IOW, if you don't like it here, why are you reading? :)

Sorry. I made a few untoward posts outside of SZ.

My apologies. I should have been more careful, I didn't look closely at the heading of the sub-forum when I saw 'Trump'.

I'm gonna say an over-burdensome federal bureaucracy, which has no bigger supporter then the Democratic party, has a lot more to do with the decline of aviation in the US.

I don't even mean that in a partisan way. It's just reality. Next up, regulating airplane emissions.

Then don't read it!

Ahhhh...a progressive who is offended by reality and viewpoints outside his own. Whodathunkit?

This is DEFINITELY aviation related. For all us IFR pilots out there, new enroute charts, new approach plates, new downloads --all because the wise ones are being led around by their nose ring. :D:D:mad2:

turning into spinzone.

Regardless of how you feel about the man and whatever he is doing. Should he win... they will be back.

I'll bet this was not about the comments but more a perfect time and reason for them to pull the names since he has become a thorn in the FFA's side with his complaints about the Next Gen routing of overflights of his Florida resort.

This would have made sense in the old days when you had to manually insert the monthly Jepps update pages into the 3-ring binder and cuss (I recall the hyper-stupid changes that required a new plate back then). But those days are gone, the new rev is now a button-click away.
But you are right on principle. :)

Trump didn't say anything inaccurate

...other than implying that all immigrants that are crossing the border or are in this country are rapist and murders. There are rapist and murders...but that is not all of them. That was just stupid and the crux of the outrage.

Spin Zone time...I agree with what he is sayin, but he is a dumb arse for the way he said it and he deserves the backlash.

Stupid. You would think the FAA would better spend their time developing newer and better approach procedures rather than renaming the existing ones. I doubt many pilots knew these even existed. We had a topic a few months ago about these type of "themed" waypoints and I recall these didn't even come up. Stupid.

He said NOTHING about immigrants.

His comments were on ILLEGAL immigrants

There is a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge difference.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight....cuz ALL ILLEGAL immigrants are rapist and murders. They are illegal...so they ALL must be.

Nope, no difference cuz I left out the descriptor. Again, I agree with his premise on immigration, but that logic to classify all of them like that is asinine.

I doubt all strawberries being picked for you to enjoy out in the fields next to my home airport are being picked by only rapist and murders.

Enjoy your murder salad and rapist raspberries!

How does renaming a few aviation waypoints silence a presidential candidate?

Politicians are only interested in the truth when it benefits them politically. That's true of BOTH sides.

I could link the headlines, but somehow I don't think it would be worth it.

"Nope, no difference cuz I left out the descriptor."

Okay, to make this aviation related... how could there be an RNAV waypoint named IVNKA ONE??? Even IVNKA1 has too many characters.

Do you really think this thread is worth saving from the Spin Zone?

You'd have to be a dyed in the wool, knee pad wearing, obamazombie to believe what you just wrote.

FYI to those who say "if you don't like my post don't read it"... Um, you really can't dislike it until AFTER you've read it. Just saying.

A bunch of rich, old, white guys defending Donald Trump?? Who'd have thought.
