American Airlines are embracing a la carte pricing I wonder what other clever ways they will come up with to fleece their customers.

Flying down to Houston from Seattle yesterday on US Air they got no extra money from me. And they charge $2 for a soda or water and $1 for a cup of coffee or tea. Without that I might have sprung the $5 for a snack box, but with the charge for a non-alcoholic drink I just boycotted the whole thing. Same way tomorrow flying home. Cheap $%(*&^ that I am, I could expense the whole thing, but it's a matter of principle. And I've got a cousin who flies right seat for that airline, but I'm still not subsidizing them.
Wow, I can't remember how long it's been since I could pay only $1 for a cup of coffee!
Pay toilets.
next step will be to ban all carry-on food and drinks, to eliminate competition ...
But $2 for a can of Coke? Sorry, I've been riding airlines too long to buy into this yet. Oh well, it cuts down the number of trips down the aisle.
