No. There would be too many clothes hanging from the treadmill to allow a safe takeoff. Same thing for a stationary bike or elliptical.

Sure it'll work! As long as the treadmill is bolted on another really big treadmill that's going fast enough. . .

I really enjoyed this offering. Reminded me of your earlier work such as "As the Propeller" turns.

    Hi.
That has been discussed before and I recall Mythbusters? test that but I think they were not testing it as a real life treadmill works. They are / were unable to create a condition where the treadmill speed was the same as the acft when at full speed, but practically an acft can take off from any surface in any state.

OK, you lost me after the 3rd treadmill. You may ignore reality and substitute your own.

My airplane is lazy and refuses to get on the treadmill in the first place. Good think you put the extra treadmills and stairmaster in there, I think you might have fooled it.

The local FSDO called. They are asking questions about the status of your ground instructor certificate. Probably nothing to worry about though.

Sure .It doesn't matter what the plane is on; its wheels will turn at the correct speed until the wings generate enough lift to support the plane.
