Why are airplanes such a pain in the a$$

Te compraré un abrigo muy bonito. Y puedo encontrar mucha gente que pueda hablarte español.
Ha. I have plenty of warm jackets which are a constant reminder why I don't want to wear them. But if you are insinuating I'll be grouped with the rest of your "hired" help... just remember I am legal.:yikes:

Not insinuating anything. I just know people that hablan español. Including mi padre.

I really do like flying around here. Sun looks a little low for whale watching. Your first picture is looking right at me...well maybe just a little right of me. Glad to see you're back in the air!

It’s definitely a wonderful place to fly !!

Well since you know where to find me in a much warmer climate, we need to locate you a mechanic who prefers cold weather. After talking to a few people, their suggestion is to make an inquiry via local aviation social media and type forums in general about exactly what you are looking for. It will cost more, but if you commit, the consensus is you have a good chance to find what you are looking for with a little perseverance. Which I think you possess. Y da mis saludos a su papa. ;)

What was your dang that took 2 years?
Getting the dang fuel pump setup just right.

I’m very thankful for the no BS relationship I have with my shop.

Kudos to you. I couldn’t remain calm that long. A night in jail is just 1 night but the memory would last forever.
If I **** them off, my only other options are a worse shop on the field, or flying it elsewhere if it's airworthy... And if it's not, then I'm screwed. So I try to stay as involved as possible, accept that I'm gonna be ****ed about how things are done now and then, and smile and fork it over.

They're not a bad shop, but obviously I care more about getting things right than they do.

This! I get the impression that we have about 20% fewer A&Ps than the industry could support.
I would guess more than that, and it's going to get much worse before it gets better.
