Well it seems to work pretty well for Elon Musk. Not really. But I do find it amusing that you seem to think insulting and annoying your potential buyers is a good way to sell whatever it is.

He sells new things people have a need for. Are there starlink alternatives? Tesla was pretty much first and has a product arguably superior.Well it seems to work pretty well for Elon Musk.
Pot meet kettle.I'm hoping there are some more trolls out there. I still have 16 postings to go.....
My recollection is that the donation period is only open for a limited time each year. That suggests that POA is not hurting for money. This is a free site that costs money to operate. Perhaps the owners believe that posting is how you can provide value to the community in exchange for the $$$ value that you're getting from those free classified ads.
Your reading the forum might benefit you, but it doesn't benefit the community.
Somehow, I think that bots are not waiting ten years after registering to make their first post! There is also the goal of keeping bots from swamping the place. That has been a HUGE problem for many website managers and they are pulling their hair out trying to figured out how to stop it.
Never said it was. But the rules, new or not, that many admins are having to implement apply to everyone. If the OP only has single digit postings in 10 years, then he gets caught up in rules requiring a minimum number of posts before he can beginSomehow, I think that bots are not waiting ten years after registering to make their first post!
Not true of course.Never said it was. But the rules, new or not, that many admins are having to implement apply to everyone. If the OP only has single digit postings in 10 years, then he gets caught up in rules requiring a minimum number of posts before he can beginspammingadvertising.
Oh no I just discovered that the AI program that runs my desktop has been answering and posting on this forum.Perhaps the OPs account has been hacked, clearly he/she is posting in an atypical manner.
I’d think that any real interACTOR would have just addressed the mod with a request rather than crap posting.
Close. 12 postings in the first 10 years, all selling stuff. Not true of course.
I think this explains a lot of the posts in response to my original post. It is quite easy to be rude, misinformed and hostile when you hide behind anonymity.I think you are more suited to Beechtalk. Where everyone who registers must use their real name for the whole world to access. This site doesn't seem to fit your purpose. Just one opinion of course and no matter what you are selling, even if it were the best deal of the century - I'm not buying.

He's the very definition of a free rider. He said he reads other people's posts.

Having a thick skin is definitely advantageous here, especially for new posters.Yes this site is sort of CLIQUEy. As most are. Message me what you have for sell. Im always looking for a good deal. I don't do beechtalk.
So do you like high wing or low wing?I think this explains a lot of the posts in response to my original post. It is quite easy to be rude, misinformed and hostile when you hide behind anonymity.

I try to resist those urges. Sometimes I succeed.I think this explains a lot of the posts in response to my original post. It is quite easy to be rude, misinformed and hostile when you hide behind anonymity.
That's literally the rule he's complaining about.Where do the terms of use prohibit free riders?

Only 10 more to go!NORDO
Just upgraded to a Cirrus
If I run across someone who is rude, uninformed, or hostile, I can solve that with the ignore function. Let me know if you need assistance using it.I think this explains a lot of the posts in response to my original post. It is quite easy to be rude, misinformed and hostile when you hide behind anonymity.
Can you imagine that? Someone posting anonymously complaining about a "free" website's policies, and also complaining about other people posting anonymously.I think this explains a lot of the posts in response to my original post. It is quite easy to be rude, misinformed and hostile when you hide behind anonymity.
PassIt's all those non "interactive" readers and lurkers who I'm hoping will be interested.
He's baaaaaack.Sadly, Zepharus never made it to 50 posts. </Morgan Freeman voice>
It's almost like the system works...
Yep. It's what chatbots do. Maybe I should give that a try.Do you know what the word “interact” means?
Two thoughts here.1)You are assuming, incorrectly, that I'm not part of the community. 2) If everybody believed that this statement is true, there would be no news sites online, no news blogs and no news broadcasts on TV.This is a free site that costs money to operate. Perhaps the owners believe that posting is how you can provide value to the community in exchange for the $$$ value that you're getting from those free classified ads.
Your reading the forum might benefit you, but it doesn't benefit the community.
...You mean like the post that starts with...Maybe it's in response to people who join only to sell stuff, and don't otherwise meaningfully interact. Trade-a-Plane exists for that.
Then there's this highly enlightening post. What a benefit to the community!!
....In other words, "have gun. looking for foot."I think you are more suited to Beechtalk. Where everyone who registers must use their real name for the whole world to access. This site doesn't seem to fit your purpose. Just one opinion of course and no matter what you are selling, even if it were the best deal of the century - I'm not buying.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm a long time subscriber to BeechTalk and the share has not been for sale for about six years.Do you still have that Beechcraft share for sale? Try Beechtalk, that is where Beechcraft fanciers hang out.
