What Pilot Gifts Did You Get for the Holidays?

Snap ring pliers from Aircraft Tool Supply
and a Craftsman 1/2 inch drive torque wrench - but that's more automotive than anything on my airplane.

This is most relevant to poa:

Weather is looking conducive to getting some practice approaches this afternoon.

Hey, it’s a start

I received a cute aviation themed T shirt from my office manger.
For the first time in 12 years I didn't get anything aviation related from my lovely wife.
That is because she already bought me everything there is for aviation gift's in the past. I have every T shirt ever sold at Sporty's.
She does have a tradition that she buys a new Cessna crystal ornament with the current year engraved for our tree. We have at least 10 years in a row now.

12 years ago she gave me a "pioneer" flight at the local flight school. I waited almost 2 years to take it, right before it expired. The rest is history.

Inflatable paddle boards.

And this…

No I don’t crochet…my wife accidentally donated the stocking cap that my daughter crocheted for me several years ago, so my daughter is going to make me a new one.

The crochet hook is one that I made for her several years +1 ago. ;)

Not sure how well this picture will post---but I received this from a lady at our office. She has a laser of some sort and can make almost anything. Key chains, coasters---and of course these mirrors--which light up and change colors. Blue, red, teal---basically the whole rainbow. She does this as a hobby---but I told her I think most anyone with a plane would be interested in having one of these.

A 3D printer (before anyone asks, it’s a Bambu P1S w/ams pro. Granted not just for aviation projects. I’ve already printed the obligatory benchy and made some tweaks. Something the wife wanted. Plus a few bits for the printer itself.

Now I need to dig up old threads with cool plane gadgets to print.

Wonder what she would charge to make them for us?

I can ask---my guess is probably 85-125 or something---but that is just my wild guess. I didn't ask her on account of it being a gift, but I was so impressed with it, I could not help but think there would be other airplane owners who would want something similar. I have seen this sort of stuff with star wars items and military jets, but never something on a mirror that you could personalize. She had asked me for a panel shot---so I sent a few of those to her. She was so excited to give it, like a little kid with her new laser toy. She does a lot of art design stuff for the office, but I will ask her and report back.

She just emailed back.

65 dollars for the 6 inch mirror and 85 for the 8 inch.

The one I posted above is the 6 inch.

I cannot imagine she is making any profit on these at that price---but she sure seems to be having fun with her laser.

A new back pack for all that pilot stuff you need.

I don't know if this qualifies as a "pilot gift" but it does involve flying... my wife bought me this wifi camera equipped bird feeder... then our daughters gave us another one.

I remember when I first got my pilots license/certificate and I got all the tee shirts, “this is the only six pack I need” “I’m a pilot…scary isn’t it?” etc. I hung out with all my A-10 pilot buddies and they called me a dork. So I haven’t bought one since.

We had a secret Santa thing at work and I got this except its a low wing.

Oh well

It wasn’t the shirt. :)

Happy New Year, Tim

I gave myself the Dynon HDX "upgrade". Traded two 7" classic Skyview displays for two new 7" HDX screens.
