Vector PlanePass invoices

I've had two bills from Vector. Both were LifeLine flights. I can usually get fees waived when flying for charity. But with Vector it's after the fact. Nobody to waive it. Just got one two weeks ago. Airport was middle of nowhere Michigan.

I paid both and moved on with my life.

National parks are government sponsored agencies and they also charge fees for the direct user.
The national forest system is better than the national parks. Less people. It's also much cheaper. And by cheaper I mean free. Unless you want to ride your ohv on the extensive trail system. Then it'll cost a whopping 18 bucks.

I just wish they'd have a dumpster at the ranger station. Make it easier to throw your trash away. Don't give people a reason to be animals. Hell, I'd pay to throw my garbage out rather than bring it back 1300 miles with me.

But much like social security now being a form of identification for a damn cell phone. Using adsb to collect fees is perverse.

My problem with these 3rd party bill collectors, is how much of a cur do they take. If I land somewhere and the FBO or Airport gets a $10 fee, I’m good with that. But if vector is billing me the $10, how much of a cut do they get out of it, that is not going to the airport infrastructure.

I also say that there are many airports that are underused, and we should be going there to keep them operational before a real estate developer pay off city council and gets condos built in what was an airport.

Well even if the airport only gets half the the fee then that's more than nothing without the fees.
Same thing with charities and commercial soliciting.

Since I live in your state too and thought this was a curious statement, I asked Google:

AI Overview

AI can't think, just paraphrase garbage it scraped elsewhere. The "positive educational outcome" is dubious and almost certainly was scraped from the EdChoice site itself. It said that more people who used EdChoice got into (and through) college that the average. Of course, this doesn't mean that EdChoice caused these outcomes. It's quite likely people entered EdChoice with the specific goal of sending the kids through college, so it's not a uniform sample, but cherry picking. Similarly, the polls claiming Ohioans supported this actually were not limited to Ohio in the polling again scraped from pages that promote vouchers and charter schools.

I don't get bills in the mail because I don't fly to publicly funded airports that charge a landing fee. I do visit private airports that either charge a landing fee or ask for a donation. I'm happy to pay in those instances because there is something on, or near that airport than makes landing there and paying a fee a good deal for me. Flying offers lots of freedom and pilots can "vote" with their wallets. I am continually amazed at how many airports dot the landscape across this country. With all the options we have as pilots, complaining about a landing fee at one place when there are other options seems silly. If landing at a given airport isn't worth what the facility charges, go someplace else.

The one exception here could be if you’ve invested in a hangar and 30 year land lease, and suddenly a fee is imposed.

I don't live in Ohio. And my opinion is still valid regardless of whether it matches the majority or not. :)
Touché! Wrong Jim_R.
...the polls claiming Ohioans supported this actually were not limited to Ohio in the polling...
Ha! Prolly counted some of the votes from @Jim_R's state — that's what left him in the majority.
