Hi all, this spring I flew my Cessna 172 from Illinois to Sun & Fun in Florida, KZPH. I used the Skew-T Log P route generator on "flytheweather.com" to plan my flight. It was useful to me and occasionally more accurate than en route forecasts. Do any of you have experience with this tool? If so, is there more information available on how to use it than the "How To Use" link on the tool's website?

It was obviously made with pilots in mind, and there may be more information there than meets the eye.

You are looking for a course in the SkewT. There are several, free and paid. Here’s one if the free ones. (My playlist and I created the videos, but the content is not mine.)
Weather in the Vertical

See Scott Denstedts AvWxWorkshops website for lots of course material related to Skew T.

This was perfect. Easy to understand and well explained. Thanks for sharing.
You are welcome.

That was my reaction. Part 1 on theory, part 2 on application.

I came across Ed’s program as an audio with a pdf. I liked it so much, I asked him if he still had the original PowerPoint and offered to put it and the audio together into a video.

Weather in the Vertical
Of all the materials I have seen, "Weather in the Vertical" is my favorite introductory presentation of the topic.
