I seem to have forgot how to upload approach chart images. I wind up with "
How do you download the map of states where you have flown? I found the site to build the map but haven't been able to add the image.
Is it an image file (gif, jpg, png) or a pdf file?
Most stuff I copy then paste into the post, then it appears like magic.
Pdf, I think. Been too long, nobody answered and I haven't had the need to do it again. I'll try to figure out later what I was up to.
Ok, that didn't take very long. It was this: https://www.pilotsofamerica.com/community/attachments/00854izlz36-pdf.71861/
I wanted to have it show up as an image in case the link expired. I didn't want to use the snipping tool and save in Paint and then upload as a jpg. I thought there was a quicker way, but didn't (still don't) know how.
As you discovered, I don't think there's a way to post a .pdf and have it display directly. You'll have to convert it to an image format first.
You can upload a file (at least certain file types) but you can't post non-image files (pdf, word docs, excel spreadsheets, etc) inline as an image. Someone will have to click on the link of the attached file, or provide the direct link to the file like you did above.
Thanks!! Will try again soon.
Yeah, you got answers, you just weren't specific enough in your op.
Where were the answers? Certainly not in this thread until today.
Lol, wow, you did have to wait a while, I didn't see the op date.
