Unplug it, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in.....

Just the thought of one being powered up for 21 consecutive days boggles my mind a bit.

Lol.

'This is Boeing Technical support, my name is Raj (Peggy), how can I help you ?'

CRJ = Canadian Reset Jet

Flew 'em for 12 years and it's true, and it works 99% of the time. Always nice to tell passengers that we're shutting down a few minutes to clear some messages. Oh on the ground of course. at the gate!

Most issues can be cleared with pulling and then resetting the appropriate circuit breaker though some do require resetting the entire aircraft. If I recall correctly, there are a couple problems that require shutting down external power, disconnecting the battery and then reconnecting.

Mtc would tell me what breakers to reset for certain things and I had 'em in my flight bag. No sense calling them out if I could do it, especially at an outstation. Were we suppose to, no. But many things were done "off the books" so to speak to run the airline on time, or attempt to.

I learned early on that shutting everything off, unhooking the batteries, and starting over, was usually the first suggestion by Team Sovereign. It took me awhile to realize I was flying a computer. Everything else I had flown was on the trailing edge of technology.

Welcome to the 21st century!
