Ha! This was me on my ferry flight home after buying my Cherokee. Probably took about 4-5 hours of flying before it became intuitive.

I think it was @Half Fast that had the best Cherokee overhead trim idea: pretend it's a screw. You drive the screw up, nose goes up.

It’s much easier to fly airplanes that don’t have trim.

It’s also easy to fly a sloooow airplane with light control forces. Trimming can be done with leisure

I was taught to fly a single engine plane with two fingers, at least until you got the trim figured out. If you needed any force at all, you needed to trim. I wonder how the primary training of the tnflygirl went with regard to trimming off all pitch force on the hands.
