Having dealt with the Airport Authority in Indy for years, there is a LOT I can say.

HOWEVER, when it comes to the Authority-run GA Airports (KUMP, KMQJ, KEYE, K2R2) they spare no expense keeping them up. They are in GREAT shape.
And they have good aviation people, not guys promoted from grass-mower driver, running the FBO's. IMO, that makes ALL of the difference in the world to an airport.
