Not just that. I looked at what it would take to drive one from my home to Denver. My F150: 1 fuel stop, 15 minutes tops. Enough gas left for a few days of driving around. Tesla: Minimum 3 stops, 30 minutes each, adds an hour and 15 minutes to the trip. That assumes a 30 minute charge will get at least 75% of the range circles displayed... but I suspect there might be an extra stop in there. They're cool cars, and if we didn't regularly drive long distances it might be appealing... but I think there are several reasons you don't see as many in "flyover country" just yet.
