T6 down at Culpeper, Virginia

I'm glad they're OK. I've met Dan before in one of the companies he's been involved with.

No -- it ran off the runway and flipped. It was breezy today here in Northern VA, perhaps a ground loop.

Oh I know. I was just being silly. See quote below...

I seen thousands of crash pictures like that. 100% flat spin right there. Why didn't he pull the chute.

Hope for a speedy recovery for the pilot and pax

This. And yes best wishes for speedy recovery.

Hoping for a quick and full recovery for the pilot and passenger.

Inverted flat spin. Please, let's get this right.
( )
Wrong. In the MILLIONS of pictures I've seen, it was a 100% guaranteed flat spin but the plane carries so much energy that it bounces and due to the weight differential between nose and tail it rotates 180 degrees on axis. This leaves it in an inverted position(you know, like top gun) upon final rest.

Hope for a quick recovery for all involved. Bummer that the plane is tore up but those can be fixed after the people are mended up.
