Looks like a terrible idea to me. But pilots are naturally apt to do dumb things, take pictures of it and share it with everyone just because it looks cool.

The aerodynamic loads on there are likely much higher than his weight. Personally I wouldn’t expect that to cause any issues, but I still wouldn’t do it.

Just spit-balling, but without getting up there, how would you insert intake or exhaust plugs (to keep out birds/FOD) for extended ground stays? I’d think that surface would be built up enough to support someone standing there.

That seems like a weird idea but I know Luke and (other than being a super nice guy), he doesn’t strike me as the type to do something that has potential for risk without thinking it through.

He’s just trying really hard to look cool. Lots of folks do silly things in that pointless endeavor.

But spread over a much larger area.

But I’d think if the skin didn’t buckle, no harm, no foul.

Dunno about the photo, but the story is interesting, the one linked by the OP. The pilot flew an SF50 to China, to show it, and he ended up flying it round-the-world.

I doubt one could reach the intake to plug it from that position. And there's no wing walk as the cabin door is in front of the leading edge. Ah well, that's a problem for the rampies; no self respecting SF50 owner should have to do anything that menial. ;)
