I think every bomber crew has been angling for some stick time. Is it rare that all three big bomb platforms are deployed at once? Aluminum(or other metals) overcast coming to a country far from you.

If the pilot is good, see, I mean, really sharp. He can barrel that baby in so low. You ought to see it sometime. It's a sight. A big plane like a 52, it's jet exhaust frying chickens in the barnyard.

Maybe instead of Oshkosh, folks could gather up in Kuwait. Then flocks of Bonanzas, RVs, Cessnas, Pipers, FlyBabies, and all other winged wonders could cover the sky. Imagine the radio…… “Blue and white RV, rock your wings. Good rock. Turn left at the oil well and drop your package on the green dot” (Sarcasm font enabled)

Well, to get there in time with my little Beech buggy, I’ll have to leave no later than last Thanksgiving.

Hey, it worked at Dunkirk.

Don’t worry, they won’t make you fly, they’ll just send your Flybaby on a one-way mission.

Henry and Dick had good luck with the buffs, and knew how to use them to get the North Vietnamese sprinting back to the negotiation table.

Now I want to see a restoration show where they get some FB-111's ready for action.

I'd say uncork that Valkyrie parked at Dayton museum and fly it over, but that'd create the oil shortage we're trying to delay :D

Seriously, watching that thing overhead would get me to drop whatever shia i was getting up to in a hurry.

So these days is the buff dropping mostly precision ordinance? How do you identify that many targets dropping 70,000 pounds of ordinance? Target 1,.... 24, 25, 26, 32, 55, 60.....

A 1 mile x 2 mile box is still precision....it's just a different level of precision. :)

Hmmm, there's a Vulcan parked a few miles from my house, if we're going to be going for the "last hurrah" kind of thing...

The Iranian airspace in the middle of a war is less crowded than Oshkosh.....

Every time I watch Dr Strangelove (that's every few years), General "Buck" Turgidson's scenes make me howl with laughter.

I know how it is, baby. Tell you what you do: you just start your countdown, and old Bucky'll be back here before you can say "Blast off!"

wonder how close that is to reality today...

Wart Hog in da house.

Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrp.:yikes:
In the "don't wish you still had" category. The S-3B Viking would be perfect for this. Harpoon, Maverick and Zuni's with a spectacular ISAR radar and very long endurance plus being able to pass gas to fighters. Oh well.
