Southwest doesn't give stars 1st class treatment

Scott is already Platinum for life on AA. Scott is an Exec Platinum for AA this year and Scott is also a 100k UAL member. Scott flies far too much on the aluminum death tubes.

Scott travels more than I do, and I travel too much. Just Premier Executive on UA with a bit more than 300,000 miles lifetime.

Met a million mile flyer a couple years ago. He had done it all domestically. Yikes!

I love it. We all start talking in the third person, like we are the actual elite we degrade. LOL! :D

Anthony aren't you the "Elite"? After all... look at your location. Anyone in Marcus Hook is clearly "the Elite"

Why yes Andrew, the view of the refineries and oil barges is breathtaking! Now where is that Eagle Rare.......with a splash please.......

But Scott isn't going to be so lucky. :D

Ghery has two trips this year that he is looking forward to. HNL in July and SYD in September.

Scott already went to Hawaii this year. Scott visited Kona in January. Scott has never been to Sydney and would welcome that trip. Scott would be happy to trade a trip to London or Malaga with you for that one

You'd probably end up with an sheen on your drink if you do branch water. Sure redefines the tasting note "oily"!

Cheers,

Andrew will trade 1 trip to SNN for 1 trip to NRT... or 1 trip to DEL for 2 trips to FRA or MXP.

Cheers,

-Andrew

Bill will trade one trip to LGW/LHR for one trip to almost anywhere but DEL (or Lagos).

Scott is out of luck on trading for SYD. Scott isn't on the right standards committee. And Ghery hasn't been there before, either. Ghery is going to fly a DA-20 out of Kona in July.

As long as Ghery is going that far, Ghery ought to take a side trip to Auckland.

Scott was very happy going to a private luxury box last night at Dolphin stadium as part of a standards meeting. Scott was also happy when he got to go to ETSi HQ a lot. Scott was staying on French Riveria every other month for a year. :D:D

Attached is a pic from Scott's room in Jean le Pins.

I stopped flying SW when they wanted me to stand in 3 lines to get on an airplane, then stand in two more when I changed planes.

Not sure I understand how this is different from other carriers...

...when I fly, it's (1) TSA (have no idea how one might avoid this...), and (2) boarding line (and have never found out how to avoid this on any other carrier, either).

Scott has elite status and rarely stands in line. Scott is allowed to walk past the 'little' people :D:D:D:D;);););)

Truthfully Scott has walked into an airport 30 minutes before departure and got on the plane within 5 minutes. The airport that Scott has done that is O'Hare. Scott thanks AA for their special security line for ultra elite flyers.

Andrew is jealous of our globe trotting standards folks, but, Andrew has enjoyed the spoils of a beautiful locale before...

89F, under a palm tree, in Bangalore while a funeral escalated into full blown rioting just 4km from our hotel.

Nice tan.

Bill does not have his pictures of Montreux or Annecy on this computer, but he remembers well the sympo at Montreux and the corporate conference held at Annecy. Bill has no pictures of the "fun events" that took place in Lake Annecy after midnight one night.

Ghery went there in 2002. Very nice. Got to sail in the harbor (see pictures of Ghery and Marilyn at the helm) and visit great places on the North Island after spending a few days in Christchurch for the same meetings that will have Ghery in Sydney in September of this year.

It's a good thiing that America is a classless society! LOL

Bill has elite status on three airlines plus their partners, too. But Bill flies from some airports like SAT that do not believe in elite lines for Checkpoint Charlie. In others, like the NW terminal at DCA, Bill notes that the elite line is the only one with the puffer device, so it takes longer to clear than the other lines. This is like a giant vacuum cleaner, it sucks wind.

Chip's records show that Chip only accumulated 43,000 miles on GibAir last year, but still obtained Super Titanium Über Customer status. The flights always wait until Chip boards before they depart, provide Chip with preferred seating, and Chip gets to sleep with one of the owners of the airline. Yes, Chip prefers GibAir over any other airline.

That's one hell of a frequent flier program.

Bill found a picture he has of Annecy and Luzerne, but not any of Montreux on this computer. He will not bore you with Tuscany.

Scott has not been to Tuscany like Bill and Elizabeth. But Scott did get to got to Sorento for business a couple of years back. Scott enjoyed that trip very much and took a side visit to Capri, Pompeii, and Rome. Here is a view form Scott' room in Sorento.

Toscana is one of the most magical places on Earth. Andrew got engaged in Italy (Venezia) and spent the next week in Siena and Firenze. Such an amazing place. Andrew used to manage a team in Italy, but it was a vendor team, and they never let Andrew travel over there to visit them. Andrew is still ticked with that vendor, almost four years later.

Cheers,

-Andrew

Bill agrees.

Bill loves this little hotel: http://www.amorosa.it/en/index.html Bill's room was right behind the purple flowers in the picture. Bill notes that they offer rentals of very fine vintage cars in which one may drive through the Tuscan countryside.

One of the best meals that Bill has had anywhere in the world was at this restaurant: http://www.poggioantico.com/english/ristorante_e.htm

There is nothing like seeing the cypress trees emerge from the morning mist. Magical is the correct word.

Bill clearly has exceptional taste. Andrew is a fan of Poggio Antico's wines, and has often debated taking his wife there during their next trip.

Andrew notes that there is a firm that allows rentals of Ducati motorcycles in Toscana, Andrew wishes he did this last time he was there. But he'll do it next Spring when he returns for sure.

Andrew is now officially jealous of Bill's hotel choice.

Cheers,

-Andrew
