The owner/pilot by the name of JR was really cool and told me all about his build and the avionics. Gave me the grand tour of the panel- so so envious...

The twisty knobs are round if that makes you feel better. They are even concentric.

what's with all the blue bondo....?

that is a filler strip that fairs the windshield into the boot cowl. after bonding in the windshield you build it up with glass. it is probably filled with superfill which has a blue color to it.
