Looks like this one could be one for the record books?
It started last night around 5pm. We have 5" so far with lot's more to come.
How much have you received so far?

So far just a few inches, but this is supposed to last most of the day. We'll see how it goes. Plenty of beer in the house!

It should start making it to the ground here in the next couple of hours. The forecast models for the Cape have been all over the place regarding accumulation. I'm more worried about the back and forth temperatures here. It's in the teens now, supposed to get above freezing tomorrow causing the whole mess to turn into a wintry mix and then back down below freezing for the foreseeable future. It's going to be a tough couple of days here, I suspect.

I think we got a couple hundred snowflakes a few years ago. I'm kinda looking forward to a few more, but alas, I guess that's not to be.

But I do have a well stocked bar and fridge. Just in case.

I wouldn't think 5" in ohio would be "one for the record books". looks like we've got about an inch of snow and it's supposed to be freezing rain all day. or, as we called it years ago, winter weather.

Only an inch or two so far, forecast is for ~18"... which although significant isn't really that unusual for New England. I'm just bummed that my shoulder injury won't allow me to enjoy it on skis.

I’m in Georgia, all the radio and TV stations are ‘stay tuned for updates’, because they only get $ if you are watching.

I looked at the weather and knew a week ago that we might get a little ice and no snow. In 8 hours the rain probability goes to zero and it’ll freeze overnight.

I’m going to walk across the street to my hangar and fire up the propane to work on my daily driver. Out here the Monday morning commute will probably be more worrisome than this storm.

I'm on a business trip in OKC and got stuck here due to flight cancellations. News says 4 inches of snow fell, but I am not seeing it. My estimate was about 2 inches. I even went on a long 5 mile hike and didn't think it was bad enough to shut down everything.

Light coating of ice around here. I think it is much worse just NE of Atlanta.

8-10 inches as of now here in NW Cbus. Still snowing.

Not much snow in frozen north iowa, lots of black dirt still showing in the fields, but cold, darn cold….the power lines are humming loud enough to hear from 100ft away cold.

Nauga,
whose brass monkey is warm
That’s good, last thing a person needs is their cannon balls rolling around on the deck…I’m pretty sure it’s cold enough here now to “freeze the balls off a brass monkey”.

just starting in the Boston MA area.

hopefully it'll kind of fizzle... although we do need the moisture.

Getting deeper! Still predicted to snow until at least 8pm, so a long ways to go.

Apparently our official total here in OKC is 7", but at our house I'd say it's only a few.

Of course OKC is a geographically very large city, so the snowfall could have been dramatically different in various parts.

I hope you're at least stuck at a decent hotel.

EDIT - I'd usually say "hey let's meet up for lunch!" but I think today I don't plan on leaving the house. Let me know next time you're here though!

The snow started here 5 hours ago. Looks like about 3" on the ground right now...forecasts threaten about 16-24 total.

Western MA.

Yep, staying at the Omni, so it's a good place to be stuck.

So far I've received about 20" of pics and emails from friends and relatives in cold latitudes....
So have I. But I refrained from replying with pics of me holding a beer next to the smoker in my shorts, t-shirt and flip flops. They might interpret that as an invitation.

Good move. I'm in shorts and a Hawaiian shirt myself, and we grilled steaks on the patio by the pool last night, but I wouldn't want everyone to know that as they might move here, and Florida is over its quota of northerners.

I hatred you both.

I was barefoot while taking out the trash earlier today, but I made sure to wipe the snow off my feet before coming back in the house.

You sound like my oldest son, I swear he seemingly has no sense of cold.

This morning from LR window. Not much snow but -10 with nice north breeze.

We got blasted here in Gallup. I started a go fund me to help with damage and snow removal.

Go fund me zeldman enrichment fund...

Your recommendations regarding the crossings of the NM Rockies worked out great at 10.5 westbound and 9.5 eastbound. Had to leave leave Las Vegas a day early due to northern AZ and southern NM weather predications for Friday, and the rest of the mess. Kept out in front (on the warm side) of the cold blast by going more southerly, then overnighting in Ft Worth and Atlanta. Traveled up the east side of the Alleghenies on Saturday. Snow here didn't begin until 2:00am Sunday. Whew. Winter flying in little planes is a challenge.

Appreciate your DM suggestion. Local knowledge is terrific!

New Mexico is beautiful.... I mean horrible. Everyone can just avoid it. There's nothing to see.

I got a dusting of snow. 45 minutes south near ohare got 4-6.

Hoboken NJ - I'm guessing 9 inches so far.
