Every time the buzzards would thermal over our house my kids would say, “Looks like dad’s cooking again.”
 
IMG_1406.jpegRinsing gear a few weeks back, this little guy had stowed away in my son’s mask box. Made it all the way from Grand Cayman to Chicago (pls don’t tell customs). Now we have crab we’re keeping alive.

Yep. I fell for it too. Now I have to wipe my thumb print off my screen.
 
Had a wasp fly up on to the radio stack while I was out flying. Fortunately, it was quite calm and easy to squash. Maybe it was suffering from hypoxia because we were at 9500MSL?
 
For almost a month now, we've had this crazed robin slamming into our windows. Pretty much all of our windows. It'll crash into one half a dozen times, then move to the next window, or maybe the other side of the house and start crashing into windows there for awhile. Over the course of a day, it hits windows on all sides, sometimes starting as early as 5 am, and continuing to near dusk. Shades up, shades down, doesn't matter. And as annoying as the bird is, our dog reacting to it all day is even worse.

Same, it's never pleasant to discover one of those.

Conversely, we are often visited by a much more charming arachnid. This one, a female tan jumping spider, is currently living in one of our planters in the kitchen. She is very small - smaller than my thumbnail.
Being that they can't seem to get enough fruit flies, her presence is a-OK with me. They are also very intelligent and curious, with personalities that seem closer to that of my cat than your hourglass-clad intruder above.

Had the same dimwitted robin experience myself. Put a bust of WC Fields in the window. She went to the other side of the house and attacked my Pella window door. :rolleyes:
