Show Me Your Grinder

Trying to figure out why you need two, count ‘em two, crowbars hanging from your grinder.

But it looks like it’s built from a Model T rear axle. ;)
I thought the "buried in the corner" would have explained things. For the longest time I thought it was home made. But the thing runs like a top. Just don't use it much.

One for coffee, one for commercial black pepper, one for grain, one for meat (a 10% lean mutton/20% fatty pork trimmings/70% lean beef trimmings with a teaspoon of rendered grain fed duck fat per pound makes a burger patty blend to die for), one for the dried spicy peppers from the garden, one for dried mushrooms, and one for home grown dried herbs. Not shown are the charcoal grinder (for biochar) and the “osha inspector heart attack” 1916 Montgomery ward feed mill grinder modified from belt drive to pto drive and mounted on a late 1960’s Ford Mustang axle I use to use to grind feed when I had sows and still farrowed.

On the metal side , normal angle, bench and some vintage treadle stone grinders.

I swear those things breed. I have never bought a crowbar, but I somehow have about eight of them. They end up hanging all over the place. You can't throw them away because you might need fight off interdimensional aliens with them some day.

@Tools what ya got? I don't have pics of any of my grinders, but they look VERY different from these

I’ll be home tonight… will show a few proper grinders.

The Cincy #2 hasn’t been moved over yet, at about 2 thousand pounds…

Small angle grinders are consumables. I keep a set (cutoff wheel, wire wheel and grinding stone) at most work stations. The 20 amp variable speed Makita is a workhorse, and at about $300 is also a consumable in the granite countertop business, that dust eats EVERYTHING, but it’ll hog through a slab with a diamond wheel.

I keep a small dedicated one on each tig welder.

Yes, I had grinder day too…

...but, why?

Update… had pieces of this in previous post… almost back in action! Memorial Day weekend project. Never used a surface grinder, all giddy about that.
