Just got word this morning that a colleague of mine was killed in a car accident last night in Indiana.

I’m in shock. Three days before Christmas nonetheless. I can’t imagine what his family is going through right now.

Bummer. Was he a CFI or flying for the big iron?

Life is a fragile thing. I lost a good friend of mine a few years ago to a motorcycle accident. It’s still an odd thing to think he is gone.
 
Wow, just terrible. Close to Christmas makes it that much worse. I feel awful for his family .
 
Sorry Ryan. So tragic. As the saying goes, tomorrow is not guaranteed.
 
Thanks all, definitely a terrible way to begin the holidays. Life is certainly fragile and can change in a heartbeat.

It's sad that this happens, more so this time of year.
Christmas will never be the same for the family, our hearts go out to them.
