Hello. Is the transponder the Garmin gnx375 similar in capability to the gtx345? Thanks

If you are asking whether the GNX375 is a superset of the GTX345, then pretty much yes depending on your use case. The GNX375 is capable of a lot more than the GTX345, though.

Will it give me traffic on an iPad or sees 660? It’s getting crowded around here… thanks for the coaching

Yes, they are both ADS-B in/out. The 375 will display traffic on its own screen whereas the 345 will not.

The 375 is a navigator with a transponder so it has a moving map display. The 345 is just a transponder and only has a basic text display for the transponder code and other basic functions.

I have a GTX345 so I can tell you more about that unit but basically it's an ADS-B in/out transponder. I have my iPad paired to it and it feeds traffic/weather data to it, it also feeds traffic to my GNS-530 navigator. However, the GTX345 doesn't display any of those things on it's own, it only feeds the data to other devices.

Biggest difference is that the GTX345 comes in a Diversity version (antenna on the roof for satellites). So you're good to go in all the Canadian airspaces (or the other countries that require it.)

I believe it will also feed more ADS-B devices than the GNX375 can via the RS-232, RS-422 or ARINC 42 outputs. There are also some miscellaneous timers etc. that may or may not matter to individual users.

I interpreted OP's question as "Is the transponder in the 375 any worse than a 345?" and I have no idea so I'm reading to learn :) Obviously the box does more than the 345 does.

I''d be bummed to get a shiny 375 installed and it only had "transponder lite" inside the box yaknow? Such as the diveristy callout and I was C-reg.

Looking at the 2 tables, the only diffs I see are G1000, FlightStream 110/210 and GNS400W/500W which makes sense when the IFR navigator is built-in. And I think the GTX345R (remote) is the only ADSB In/Out box allowed to be in a G1000 system anyway.

GNX375 has timers, too.

I'll give you that, partially. It's not like any old GTX345 has diversity; you have to order it that way and pay for it.

It has a moving map display.
No, the transponder in the GNX375 does not have a moving map. The NAVIGATOR portion of the 375 has a moving map.

G1000, FlightStream 110/210 and GNS400W/500W
You would never connect a Flight Stream to a GTX345, it has built in Bluetooth (as does the 375). The FS 510/210 (110 for older devices) are all for Navigators, primarily to connect to an EFB and some people use the 510 for Database updates. And the G1000 and the GNS references are again Navigators, nothing to do with the Transponder question asked.

GNX375 = GPS Navigator & Transponder in one box
GNC355 = GPS Navigator & Comm in one box
GPS175 = GPS Navigator

Well if you really want to split hairs, the OP was missing the word "in" :)
