Refresh a PIPER CHEROKEE 140

What was the difference between flying the turbo and NA? Was it the difference in the t tail?

The Hershey Bar wing. I had a TA III which has a strait tail. Great range with 72 gallons, but it was heavy and tended to float on landing with no load in the back.

I have heard of the saying, “if you want to fly, fly. If you want to build, build.”
I think we found a third way: “if you wanna restore, restore.”
Restoration, like building, can be cathartic. In that way, the cost can sometimes be justified. Coming home from a hard day or week at work, and cleaning up airplane parts or reassembling stuff can be relaxing.

But you don't want the project to drag on for too many years. It loses its attractiveness and you abandon it.

That's half the reason I got a reloading press.
